I know this is a really old post. I am a retired Seabee and I have wanted to get that same tattoo for years, but have never found a tattooist that did the Disney Bee that well. Do you have the original artwork? Can you send me a copy of it? Or do you have the contact info for where you were inked?
I did notice the absence of wings. I was impressed with the shading. I personally prefer the tommy gun with the bees. My own Seabee tat has a M16A2 on it. I got mine from from Jimmy's tattoo outside of the Ventura Gate at Port Hueneme back in 86'.
Awesome :)
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is my last day off from the end of year "use it or loose it" vacation time. Back to the grind on Sunday.
At least it isn't on your back.

Very cool! I like it.
ReplyDeleteSweet!

I think I posted as "anonymous" by accident. Please let me know if you have the artwork file or the contact info for the tattooist.

I kinda lucked into the guy on the S.E. side of 410 in San Antonio- the shop is gone.
DeleteI just used a B&W pic I found online and he did the rest.
If I had to do it again, I'd leave the M-1 off because it makes it look too busy, but then again- you don't notice that he doesn't have wings....so.
