If I didn't show up for my job for two weeks because I didn't like something I had to do- my boss wouldn't be coming to my house asking what he could do to get me to come back.
AND- I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't see a paycheck either.
State Sen. Jon Erpenbach (D) has been hit particularly hard by his paycheck being withheld. Wisconsin State Senate leadership is currently negotiating with eight of the fourteen to come home.
The rest of us would be fired in a New York minute. But that's for the little people. Those with tenure, public employee unions, and civil service jobs don't need to worry about trivialities like that.
