I am in absolute awe at the stupidity.

  2. Lots of good reasons for minting coins, as I pointed out last year at this time.

    The stupid part is that they are creating them and not putting them into circulation. If they substituted them into circulation as paper dollars wore out, they could easily reduce this stockpile.
