Ok. So we have an Olive Garden restaurant- which happens to be a member of the Darden restaurant chain.
The same chain that decided that MEchelle Obama should be the one to decide how they serve kids. Decided that a Kiwanis club couldn't display an American flag in their restaurant.
Because it might bother people.
Here is the Barbra Steisand that they tried to use to validate their argument:
We understand and appreciate the way some people have reacted to the situation in Oxford and we're very sorry if this decision has caused them any concern. The Oxford Olive Garden does not have a private dining area. To be fair to everyone and avoid disrupting the dining experience for all other guests, they're unable to accommodate flags or banners of any type in the dining room."
So- in order to not disturb others who were dining...in a common room- they disallowed an American flag, but didn't have a problem with people using a loudspeaker and people clapping.
Because everyone looks forward to hearing about peoples achievements that they don't know- interrupting their overpriced meals.
UPDATE-
Link fixed.
