He left something else out, too

President Obama says Virginia’s governor made “an unacceptable omission” when he proclaimed Confederate History Month without mentioning slavery.

“I don’t think you can understand the Confederacy and the Civil War unless you understand slavery,” said Mr. Obama, the nation’s first black president. First lady Michelle Obama is descended from a South Carolina slave.


In mentioning that slavery, the Governor should have reminded people that most slave owners were Democrats.

...So were members of the Klan.

...And the ones who implemented those 'Jim Crow' laws you love so much.

...And the 'Literacy tests'.


...Also, didn't I hear in one of the interminable searches of 'The Won's' ancestry- that he's a descendant of a white slave owner?

Lastly- I missed the anniversary of Appomattox Courthouse yesterday:
