To the only democracy in the Med.

Happy Birthday Israel!

It's over, Dan

Really.

Now just stop resubmitting the same lawsuit and wasting other peoples money.
You and Mary Mapes got busted for selling a false story.

And in something almost completely unrelated (except that it happened in that article).
What IS it with all these unrelated links that pop up and ruin your reading train when your cursor crosses it?
You think I'm that out of it that I don't know about "60 minutes II" or "President Bush" or "the Viet Nam war"? No! I don't need a bubble popping up if I accidentally touch something.

The same thing goes for those bookmarks, digg this's and the rest of those f*ing annoying "enhancements" in blogs.

Another alternative to nose art week-end

We'll call this "How the other half lived." Starring Willie and Joe:

"Able Fox Five to Able Fox. I got a target but ya gotta be patient."

And I even found one that could have come fron Chris Muir's computer:

Since he's into tats

A special shout-out to Old Scratch and his 'tart tats'.

Just for you buddy!

What would you call that? Hello Darthy?

And it didn't need a new hard drive.

Things that make you go,,,oook

Baba Wawa had an affair back in the 70's.
He happened to be a black Republicam from Mass...but still Baba Wawa?????

Dude, what were you smoking?

I usually don't buy into conspiracy theories

And I sure hope I'm not starting one here, but I haven't seen it anywhere else....

Ok, we all know that the Libs and greenies have always wanted to force people to use mass transit since at least the late 60's, right?

Last Thurs. I heard the S.A. Metro is seeing a massive increase in ridership ,,,because of record shattering prices. Now I read about the massive increase in AMTRAC ridership (about halfway down- right before they start crying for more money) -because of fuel costs.

The light truck market is tanking and eco-friendly boxes are taking their places.

So, am I out of line in thinking it's *NOT* just Democratic 'sloppiness' in managing this energy fiasco, and it being some kind of planned thing to force America into doing their will?

AND, on a slightly similar theory.
I did the weekly shopping and gassed-up at Wally-world at $3.41 and was glad to see it going down.
I never came close to liking anything involved in psych. classes, but I am an observer of people.
I wonder if the oil companies had this price hike planned to make us happy to see gas in the range of $3/gal without massive revolts?
See, keep raising the price way above where you want it to stay, and gradually reduce it to your target price and people will be glad to pay increased prices- with the benefit of extra cash and goodwill for dropping the price to something less outrageous.

Waddya think?

I see by my sitemeter

and pervs people searching for Chelsea nipples- that somehow she was in the news again.

What did she say this time?

Happy Mothers Day, hunny

I know it's early, but I know you were wanting it- in a .38.

I traded an aftermarket rifle for it at The Powder Horn, which was appraised about $10 lower than the pistol. Dave, let me have it as an even trade and threw in a box of50 cartridges for it at no cost.
So If you're ever looking for a good buy on a gun with helpful courtious people, stop in. Just as an aside, they have better prices than Drurys gun shop.

Since I found out that Karen's not really to hyped on her Bersa .380 Thunder, we'll be trading that in for something for me! When's fathers day? OH- that's right, I'm still owed a B-day present!

Will this happen if a Dem gets elected?

The flight was supposed be for stranded women and children but as soon as the plane landed in Da Nang, it was swamped by South Vietnamese soldiers attempting to flee the oncoming North Vietnamese forces.

There were 260 people aboard a plane which is designed to carry 105. The plane was overloaded by 20,000 pounds. The baggage compartments were loaded with people. Some of the problems during the flight included, the rear stairway remained partially extended for the entire flight, the main wheels would not retract, a hand grenade damage to one of the wings causing fuel loss, and the lower cargo doors were open. The plane had to fly at 10,000 feet because of lack of pressurization thus fuel consumption was three times greater than normal.

It depends, I guess on who it is.
I mean not that there won't be a general American retreat from Iraq- leaving them to their own devices.

I'm wondering if there will BE evacuation flights.
Hillary will send some- not for her humanitarian instincts, but more for political ideals.
Barrack, will probably just abandon them in place because they're not worth saving in his elitist mind.

And in surfing those vids, I found this truth of Democrat military policy.

Im not sure what to title this one

At first it was going to be "Reason #5793 to pack heat" until I read further and thought about something like "When seconds count, cops are never sent".
Then I read the final line:

Norwick said he was investigating the incident and reviewing whether policies should be changed and employees should be disciplined. But he also said, "I don't think there's anything to apologize for at this time."

Now, I think the subject should have something to do with uncaring, unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats.

Oh- Dane Co. is the site of one of the most Liberal cities in Wisconsin.

We've definitely got summer here

The dogs are full of fleas and Scootard has a skin reaction to the shoulder drops, soooo everyone just got done with their bi or triweekly drip.

I'm really glad that Goliath- the Danish thing- isn't watershy.

Meg just endures it.

Have a happy and productive

Celebration of Commie workers, and illegal immigrants rights day!

Meatloaf again?

Not really, we haven't had it in a while, but I can feel the cholesterol slogging it's way through my veins.

Took him long enough

I see that Barry is "angry", "dismayed", "disgusted" and "saddened"with his former Rev.s comments.

So, is he *really*, or is it an act to convince the mouthbreathing imbeciles highly educated and enlightened followers that he's not the same pol as the rest of them?
Does anybody with two brain cells that bump together honestly think that Barry has never heard the Rev. Wright say anything close to what he's been saying on his celebrity tour?

Twenty years and the Rev. has pulled the wool over Barry and Michelle's eyes? And they didn't question anything about the church? And he's supposed to be smart enough to hold the line for America- sorry, don't buy it.

Sorry, I never would have thought to vote for the guy, not because he's black- but because of what he stands for. Here are some names for you to remember if you want to pull out that race card- Michael Steel, and the racial hate spewed at him: Condi Rice and the racial hatred spewed at her during her confirmation hearings: Colin Powell, the same...need I go on?

And for the record, I'd be thrilled to have J.C. Watts as my presidential nominee- but he's too smart for that.
Just in case you want to toss the racist card at me.

Somebody tell me, please

How could elderly voters become suddenly disenfranchised if they're now required to show ID when they vote? I mean they NEVER needed a drivers license until the voter ID act?
They were trusted to write and cash checks on their word?

And the minority voters that EVERYTHING affects worse than the rest (except the elderly) have never needed to prove who they were for their Gov't handouts life enhancement efforts?
They can get by on their good wrong, too?
...OR are the "minorities" so under-represented that they might be ILLEGAL?

But wait, could this be a reason, or a red herring?
Advocacy groups, including the Brennan Center, say they know of no voter fraud case ever being prosecuted against someone who impersonated another voter at the polls. Indiana's Republican Secretary of State Todd Rokita acknowledged there were no prosecutions in his state for impersonating voters, but said the measure was necessary to protect election integrity.

Since most illegal voters don't need to show *ANY* identification, they don't need to impersonate anyone. They just pull a name out of their @ss and go vote after signing a meaningless affidavit.

And tell me something else, if all votes are supposed to be anonymous, how do the powers that be know who the questionable voters voted for?

HMMmmmmm?????

Yes, that should help

The U.N. has decided that enough people are starving that it's time to have a meeting about what to do about it.

Because they're so proactive, ya know.
They're going to have a meeting to decide how to pressure Gov'ts into halting their food-for-feelings programs.
NOT!
They're going to ask for over 3/4 of a BILLION dollars more in graft contributions to their effective aid programs.

A WESPAC VERSION OF nose art sSunday

These B-29s all flew out of Guam, hence the take-off on Mary Annes name.
And since these are AAF planes, thry probably didn't call it a Naval term, but I don't know where in the AF jargon Anderson AFB would be.

And your "Private Buckaroo" with the Andrews Sisters

We went to the Saxet gun show today

Saw plenty of autoloaders, and quite a few interesting revolvers. Karen says I'm a revolver guy, so no autos for me- which took out about 2/3 of the selection. Which I don't really mind when it comes to the plastic pistols. But when it coms to good looking metal ones, it kinda sucks.

Anyway, to mak the selection even smaller, we were looking at SASS (cowboy) style guns- no modern sights or frames. We saw two Tauruses that coud work, and two Cimarrons, but they wer in .45- which I think mught be too big for Karen.

We looked at rifles, too and almost found one, except it was a 30-30 (we need a pistol caliber)- and when I threw it to my shoulder, it landed right on the torn tendon (ChIIIt it hurt) so I think I'm going to have to learn to shot leftie or forego the CAS events.

I was going to take some pics documention the paperwork of the 'gunshow loophole' but just got the LG 1400 and don't know about downloading it yet.

Always looking out for the little people

I hold unions in about the same disdain as I do most pols- especially Libs.

The ONLY thing a modern union is for is to put the squeeze in their employers for more goodies- or less work. This time it's the oil refinery workers in Scotland shutting down an oil refinery and consequently a North Sea oil pipeline to the rest of England.
Which in turn jacks the price of their fuel.
For better retirement bennies. Good thing they have Gov't healcare- right Hil?

Look for greedy oil profiteers on Wall Street to decide it's a good idea for you to pay more, too.

OH! And speaking of greedy shysters, guess who made it to NYC to act as peacemaker between the black community and the police over the acquittal of three [two of them black] NYC police in the shooting death of a bridegroom Sean Bell in a strip joint parking lot?
Naw...just kidding- he's vowing to shut down the city (unless he's paid some astronomical amount) until justice for Sean is made...or something.

Other peoples money

So, what are you going to do with Bush's financial incentive?

Me, I'm going to use someone elses money to pay off the credit card that I used to pay this years excess tax bill.

Our $1200 overpaiment on the mortgage will go to buying CAS toys.
We went to an event today and even Karen likes it- PLUS she can dress up like a "bargirl" and make money on her madd-sewing-skillz.

A south Texas thunderstorm

I was sitting out on the porch listening to our thunderstorm roll in.
It's raining now, and the dogs aren't smart enough to come in out of the rain.

We have an old fashioned thunderboomer going on right now, where the roll comes from one horizon and rumbles to the other, shaking everything as it passes.

English people don't like it when thunder shakes a concrete slab motel room.

The lightning is starting to arrive, and the sharp thunder reports. The dogs are still chasing toads.

Selected! Not elected!

Heard that lately?
Well, I guess Antonio Saclia is getting tired of it, because he's telling those who keep saying it to Get. Over. It.

Now, with the dogfight going on over on the Left. With no clear-cut winner going into the DNC nominating convention, it looks like it'll be up to the super-delegates to decide.
They're going to be the ones who pick the nominee, not the great unwashed.
Does anyone think we'll be hearing about whoever being "Selected, not elected"?

Remembering ANZAC Day

To the thousands of our allies who endured Gallipoli in an effort to keep free men free.

You always have been true friends and allies, and I sincerely hope we stay that way.

Ladies,,,

Because I like you all alot.
Have a look at this, and this.

And guys, Mothers day is coming up soon.

I almost forgot

Happy EARTH DAY!

Oh. Darn.

Those sediments can't convey just how badly I feel about pricing myself out of an equipment drop to DFW. On Saturday.

The only positive thing I could see about the trip would be the possibility of buying a pistol from Traction Control. I may have offered to go up for less if they were throwing in a motel room, but I'm not making a DFW and back round trip for less than $200.
Sorry guys, if you want me to fight week-end traffic in an old bucket truck without A/C or a radio while hauling a POS backhoe trailer that fishtails at 50 MPH- you'll have to make it worth my while.

I heard a part time driver jumped at the offer for $125.

I'm heartbroke.

AND in further work news, we got sent home early Fri because of the weather- it had rained earlier and the General contractor didn't want macines churning up the mud. We had to finish some undergound pull boxes. I and three other guys- one of whome isn't your girl-crazy construction type. The other two were complaining of getting wet and muddy. And complaining of getting wet and muddy.
Finally the young kid said "Look, I'm gay as a three dollar bill, and I'm not biatching as much as you two, suddup."

Looking at my sitemeter

I'm glad to know that "Animal farm" is still on required reading lists.

If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I'll do my best to help.
If either of the two Democrat candidates get in the White House, you'll see a real live version within two years.

I missed BaG day

I was too broke from paying my 'evil rich people' taxes. I ended up paying about $1600 more than Uncle Sugar took out. I had a good run with the humongous cable company as an independent contractor.

Anyway- May is coming up and with it, about $1350 in overpayment's on the mortgage and about $1500 in govt, bribes the Bush incentive package.
Karen just got herself a brand new Brother 60i sewing machine tonight.

So, I guess my combination BaG day and birthday present will be one of these:

A Colt conversion .38spl Army (.36 in black powder)

A 1871(Colt conversion) Richard Mason .38spl

A 1858 New Model (Remington) .45LC (.44 in black powder)

Just because I like the look of the cap and ball revolvers.

The other choices are:

A .45 Bisley Blackhawk W/7.5" barrel- which with the long barrel and the prominent front sight would make it problematical if I wanted to get into Cowboy action shooting, wouldn't it?

This .44MAG super Blackhawk doesn't look bad, either- same problem with the CAS thing, though.

On the other hand, I could jump into the present with both feet.

I know it's better (and safer) to use modern cased rounds, but there's something relaxing about the steps involved in preparing cap and ball fire arms.

UPDATE-
Karen says not the Colt conversions, they're too much like the one I have already, and she's not sure about the Remington (looks kinda girly). Also, I'm not an auto kind of guy either- just wouldn't be right -atoll.
She sounds intertested in the CAS thing, though- especially the period dress. "So, I could dress up like a bar-girl?"

A warbird weekend and a change

We'll change things up a little to get you in the mood

Ripped from the pages of "Yank" magazine- a mag by and for servicemen....

While I was looking for USO pics, I came on this site that sort-of includes that old "Hollywood heroes of WWII". but shows even more names you might recognize.
I bet one someone had a great time playing a 'Doggie' General. It probably gave his signature speech the ...conviction that we were right ...via Paris Island.

...AND highlighting our boys in Sevice, they're having fun in the sun with their version of a 3 gunshootout.
