I can start stealing Odessious' "Wifus with Rifus" posts for Rule 5 Mondays.
If you want anime.
It looks like the F-250 is going to be another damage magnet.
TxDOT is working on I-10 east of San Antonio- both sides, and has been for about the last three and a half years. The construction zone is about 25 miles.
I was having to follow some steering wheel holder who either was afraid of those Jersey Walls or didn't know (or care) where his truck was. So I was in the hammer lane watching his left outside duallies in my lane and his inner ones riding the zipper.
Then about at the county line (about five miles east) he kicked up a rock. I don't know how big it was exactly, but between a baseball and a gold ball size rising up and heading right towards my chest.
It almost missed the bottom of my windshield. but hit hard enough to spall glass.
And -I wasn't tailgating, but was too close.
I guess I should be glad it didn't hit that aluminum hood.....
Now I need to find out how much an F0-250 windshield is, be cause I have an actual hole in the glass.
Yeah, that dirt came from where it hit.
ETA:
Call a local number and get sent to India for a replacement price of $650.
Finally find a local shop and the price drops to $330.
We all KNOW you're a Neocon that's never seen a war you didn't want to get involved in after you got to the most exclusive club in the world.
We know it'll be good for your stocks to get into another endless war- maybe even WWIII will keep your bank account fat and happy when the rest of the world is a smoldering , smoking pile of radioactive rubble.
From someone who actually HAD to get sweaty, dirty, tired and clean his own weapon over and over until it was finally accepted- instead of sitting behind a desk. DON'T go poking the Bear.
This time she's fan-gyrrrling to AC/Dc's "It's a long way to the top" (if you want to rock and roll).
I still say she'd be fun to party with, if not more................... except for the uninhibited redhead that she is.
When she hits that 180.... her emotions will come back at cho with as much glee as she takes from the bagpipes.
............And I can't sleep, so...........
So I fixed made the tailgate better.
I found out by looking for how to get the top cap off, that this is obviously a problem for people who don't baby their trucks. In this toob, you can see someone (factory of shop) added pop rivets to the weak spot on top. I used bolts.
The top rail isn't really "hard" to get off, except that as you can see- it has about 100 keeper tabs on it that you HAVE to pinch, because if you just pull- they break. I'm sure they have a tool for it because linemans and needle nose pliers didn't reach.
Reinforced where the side was buckled and torn.
The result of unloading two round bales with a good size flat spot on each.
I *knew* I should have bought that 2500 Z-71 4x4 Sierra, even with the problematic dash...
And -yeah, that metal is ripped right below the top trim.
Are all of 0bidens admin flacks heading over to Ukraine?
It's not like many have anything to do there except personally collect their kickbacks and maybe some reflected glory from rubbing shoulders with one of the most corrupt regimes in Europe.
Why does the DoJ head need to go over there?
Why does Yellen need to go over there?
How many Democrat congress critters have gone over there already?
...And math is a white thing anyway.
Except for 0bamas NASA telling everyone it's an Egyptian thing--- or something.
A city (San Fransisco) in a state (CA) that never had black slaves is looking at giving out $5 million in reparations to blacks who never were slaves in CA.
Because of Hte Feelzz.
And anyone who has the slightest bit of familiarity with the hood life knows the ONLY ones who'll have those Dollar$ will be the ones selling rims, fake grills, booty enlargements and the rest of the crap they throw their money away on.
Of course they're not talking about reparations for the Indians who WERE slaves to the missions, or the Chinese who were virtual slaves to the rail roads........
With 65.5% of it's people vaxxed.
OR more to say 65.5% of it's population is now a GMO species, is going to ban GMO corn from The U.S.
...... That I almost forgot about.
getting chit together for taxes.....
The big one below the break.
Did anyone check out the extra one last week and was she covered?
Front stuffer.
Her revolver looks like BP, too.
The big one below the break as usual~
Down here in South-central Texas we don't get a lot during the summer.
Last summer was one of the dryer years, so I got curious to see how far I'd have to got if I dug a stock tank.
I want it deep enough that I can put fish in it, too. So early August, late July- dug a trench in the lowest part of Rancho Snakebit. This is basically the bottom of a bowl where everything drains to.
Seven feet down before I got anything that wasn't bone dry, and the clay was as hard as brick mortar.
I stopped about seven feet wen I found sandy clay that was maybe not dry- calling it moist would be a long-shot.
This is the same trench last week before the cold rainy, windy week we had.
Adak, Alaska.
It's an island about 2/3 out on the Aleutian Island chain in the bearing Sea.
The wind is always blowing and the overcast is constant. On the occasional days that they clouds let the sun in, everyone not standing duty is generally granted Sunshine Liberty to enjoy it.
The way the weather has been here in Seguin, TX for almost a week- it feels like I was back up there.
In the wind, rain, cold overcast.
At least down here we don't have mosquitoes the size of Silver Dollars.
And his latest po(a)st about tanks to the Ukraine is the usual.... maybe.
Just wondering what anyone who knows tanks has to say about it?
Even if it came about abruptly- is that when it's cold, wet, windy and crappy, I don't have to leave my nice warm dry house.
Every day since I made the decision, I've done something on my To Do list.
I screwed up my shoulder again fixing a divider fence and tightening 700 of barb-wire... So that's another reason for taking it easy today.
But it shows the difference in how some people think.
I live about 40 minutes east of San Antonio. About 2- 3 hours west of Houston. Except for the remnants of a hurricane hitting the coast, or maybe some freak wildfire catching my stand of Post Oaks on fire- I don't really have any weather related worries.
I've still probably got two months of food, propane and well water. The trucks hardly ever get below 1/2 tank. The only thing I'm worried about running out of is booze.
So I have a hard time relating to people who live where they chance getting snowed in for weeks- and knowing that- who don't stock up.
Even if their town "shudders to a halt" because of heavy snow.
-State and county plows don't buy their diesel from gas stations- they have their own tanks.
-I bet they vote Democrat.
That stance looks a little unstable...
.
The bigger one below the fold~
Mine- because the propaganda wing of the Democrat party isn't interested....
WHO gave Biden the okay to take all those secret documents he lat his ChiCom handlers copy?
