Even if it came about abruptly- is that when it's cold, wet, windy and crappy, I don't have to leave my nice warm dry house.
Every day since I made the decision, I've done something on my To Do list.
I screwed up my shoulder again fixing a divider fence and tightening 700 of barb-wire... So that's another reason for taking it easy today.
When the weather is bad, and I think of the long days spent securing sites, covering fresh concrete, slogging through mud, and going home wet, I relish my retirement. I do miss the resiliency of youth. Things that now ache don't heal after a hot bath and an adult beverage.
ReplyDeleteMost days it's not so much the age as the miles. if I had known I was going to live this long, I would have take better care of myself.
