And you thought your critters were safe?

...Because your pet food wasn't on the list?

Here's another set of names for you to look at....

Menu Foods -- a major manufacturer of dog and cat food sold under Wal-Mart, Safeway, Kroger and other store brands -- recalled 60 million containers of wet pet food Friday after reports of kidney failure and deaths.

An unknown number of cats and dogs suffered kidney failure and about 10 died after eating the affected pet food, the company said in announcing the North American recall.

~Snip~

Below are lists of specific brands recalled by Menu Foods, in addition to Proctor & Gamble's recall of certain Iams and Eukanuba products. Menu Brands lists the brands on its Web site, www.menufoods.com, and advises consumers to call 1-866-895-2708 for more information.

Just curious

Look at these pictures carefully.

What do you notice?

No! Not her boobs.

She salutes better than alot of Dems who were in 'Nam.

I have the TV on as backgound noise

I'm surfing my blogroll, and I hear- again the young, concerned childeren asking about their future.

You know- the ones asking where their SocSec will be? the ones wondering about their healthcare, etc,,,
All bought and paid for by AARP.

The fact that AARP have been fundemental in foiling ANYTHING that might have minimised their goodies just dues -SocSec reform, Bush's Perscription Drug boondogle, more bennies no matter what, "If you change anything, seniorsa will be eating dogfood!"

Now they're putting out TV ads
*to help the childeren*
is kinda like cr@pping in the foyer and telling the guests that they need to clean it up, because they stepped in it.

She said, "You put coffee in that?"

The recipe for tonite was pan fried round steaks, about 3/4" thick- and Cottage fries.

The steaks came from a round roast @ $4.27/lb.
Salted and peppered on both sides and left to mull their fate.

The potatoes were sliced on the thin side (around 1/16"), and the onions at about 1/4".
The lard was just right on medium high heat, and in went the taters and onions with a dash of garlic powder and salt.

The steaks went on the lard at a high medium heat, just to get that charring taste---ummm burnt flesh!

The fries and steaks finished at about the same time (for once), and they were introduced to each other for the next step.

Using the steak pan with the good stuff stuck to the bottom, add a good splash of coffee, enough flour to make a gravy, add to taste garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Mix until the stuff on the bottom mixes well with everything else.

Let a Brit taste and see her expression that those ingredients taste so good.
I would call it Red eye gravy, but I think that's reserved for ham.

I also got most of the lawn mowed today.
Maybe the wood will be dried out enough from all this rain to finish the new entertainment tomorrow.

I hate to do this

But, some people need a refresher

Mountain

Mole Hill

Now, about those seven prosecutors who got fired for not doing their jobs
(of looking into voter fraud by Dems).
I have two things to say:
  1. Genralissimo Reno fires ALL federal prosecutor's when the Clinton's started running the White House. The First Liar calmed the minor stir by telling his MSM pals that, "Hey- everyone does it!" 'Nuff said.
  2. They should have fire the Prostituter that railroaded the ONLY people who are actually doing something to protect the border. But then again, that would have p*ssed off the smugglers who are running Bush's immigration policy.

More "Clues from Kurt"

This little gem is for the pendejo in Hondo who decided that (s)he'd waited long enough and was going to cross the road anyway.

You're at a minor crossroad on a state highway. If a semi is coming at you at 40 MPH, he CAN'T stop for your dumb @ss no matter how empty he is. The truck and trailer STILL weigh over 15 tons.

Todays driving lesson:
If you're not sure if you have the room to go......DON'T!
Because you most likely don't.

I'll have to ask my boss to look for tire marks tomorrow, I know the trailer was hopping.

Some Ideas for the latest D.C. anti-war march

I got to do a full workload last night! Yeahh!
Our main customer has all it's lines back up and reprogrammed!

Be sure to buy lots of Sams (Walmart) and H.E.B. sodapop!

I was listning to talk radio as I was driving, and thought of some other slogans for the anti-war marchers , , , That I'd use if I were protesting.

Like the Libertards are going to do while defacing "The Wall" to show how much they 'Support the Troops (but not the mission)'.

Ready?

NO!
NO!
NO!
NO!
Get us out of KOSOVO!

Where is the EXIT STRATIGY for KOSOVO?

The REAL unilateral war

Uncle Jimbo is back!

No, not that one,

UNCLE Jimbo!
He's giving good advice for y'all heading up to the "Gathering of Eagles" in D.C.

Sounds good, except for maybe Pelosi's Capitol Police.
I mean, are they the ones she ordered to let those the peacful anti-war protesters deface her steps?

Anyway, that "rate the show" sounds good for ANY hippy Socialist/Marxist Bush hating anti-war rally.

H/T the Good eL T.

Blogroll and stuff

I was going to add links to my blogroll today, but lost most of them when I installed a new (older version 1.5 Beta 1) version of Firefox, because the other one lept crashing.

I don't know, maybe it's this computer? since I had F/F 2.0 (the Latest and Best!!!) it's been running like cr@p. I even enabled IE 7 yesterday just to get online. And yes, I had a full cache of spyware when I ran adaware.

All my computers have been slow today, I don't know if the hail did something to the transiver on the dish, or it's ovecast, or itt's just spring break I'm paying for a faster service, I want my faster loading!

The plants finally decided that it's spring. I don't know if it's a coincidence, or that it took a 7" rainfall to decide them, but everything is green or budding.

Cr@p, now I HAVE to fix the lawnmowers carb.

Did I mention AlGores' internet is really, really slow?
Kinda like fast dial-up.

I have the History Channel on

The just got done with "The History of Bullets".

Ok, they got to talking about the new stuff coming out, and 'smart' bullets that can go through body armor and then act like hollow points.
They brought up the L.A. machine gun bank robbers and how out-gunned the L.A.P.D. was.

I got to thinking. Yeah, that's Cali- anyone with a rifle that could have taken care of those two would have been afraid to loan them out for fear of prosecution.

We had a thing in Austin - the U.T. tower sniper of about twenty years ago. After several shots out, he was pinned down by citizens and their rifles until the P.D. finally got an officer up there to finish the job. No citizens were arrested for using their firearms- because the Texas police understood that not ALL firearms owners are trying to kill them, and need their weapons taken away.

Hi, my name is Kurt and I own a gun

I own several as a matter of fact. My wife owns two also.

I just thought I'd throw that out so certain Anti-Gun Liberals wouldn't have to kill more trees to let you know.

I'm also letting you know, because now, we can officially shoot your criminal @ss if you break into our house!

The Texas Fair Defense Act [SB 159] (PDF- sorry) was voted on and overwhelmingly approved by both sides of the aisle to be voted on tomorrow. I think. The website is kinda ... really not easily navigable.

Anyway, if you crooks wanna come over and play; just let me know your flavor:
We have rifles- a 30-06 (1903-A3 where I can take you out at the top of the hill, and your engine block, too). A .22 semi-auto that Karen wants target practice with, she hasn't tried a moving target yet.

We also have 4 pistols in different calibers and actions ranging from .22 to .50 cal and revolvers and auto loading pistols to muzzle loaders (makes a nice hole that shatters bone).

Sorry Hammer, I forgot to credit you for directing me to Misha.

We had a hailstorm last night

I'm glad the trucks were under the carport since the hailstones were a little bigger than grapes. Or big olives, which is bigger?
I'm glad they didn't break any glass in the house, but I'd bet the roof has all kinds of dents now.

Not much is happening here at rancho Trainwreck.
I didn't get a good nights sleep because of the light loads I've gotten and the fect that someone had to almost drain the bank account for her selfish, ungrateful, lazy kids and their trip to the U.K.
We're not going to have enough in my and her check to cover this (big) set of bills this week and do anything but subsist and buy gas.

Gawd it sucks when your main customer has a prolonged work slowdown.
But, I have an interview today, not sure how that'll go with all the jobhopping I've done lately.

But, on the good side- I'm glad I don't own those dogs. NSFW- because of the "educational" toys involved.

A cops take on assault weapons

NO, not a cop takes on assault weapons...

It's kinda long at 10+min, but worth sending to your anti-gun friends.
The last several minutes are worth the wait.

Stolen from Curt.

Ok, I missed our Sabbath Saturday

I worked a long day. My second load at Oak Farm Dairy took 5 and a half hours.
They made a special batch of chocolate milk- just for me!
They forgot this week was spring break, and usually they don't do chocolat milk when schools's out---Except that they forgot to cancel the load.

It was cheaper for them to pay $150/hr for me to wait and let them run the batch than to send the load back. I got a little over $10/hr for taking a nap. (after the free two hour window)

So, on to the Famous "PIGS of the WORLD"

How about the five littlew piggies?

This little piggy went to market.
This little piggy stayed home
This little piggy had roast beef.
This little piggy had none.
And this little piggy ran WEEE-weee-weee-weee all the way home.

Here's to ya Rob, wherever you are.

I didn't have any work tonite

So, I spent time going where I shouldn't.

I found this NSFW clip. Really, it involves 'watersports" and a girl band. Really, it's baaad- but, being girls, they do clean up their mess in the end.

I was actually looking for the Hollabck/Constant Sorrow mash-up, but VIACOM decided that we didn't need to enjoy it.

Then we ran accross "Superflexible Girl"

(The music needs to be redubbed,,,but)

I bet these wimmin get flogged the first time they try to arrest a male.
But, then it's the new thing to show how enlightened the RoP is...

How about a looooooong poor-little-me themed n'awlins 'documentary'?
I notice that I heard the President and Vice-President, but nothing about Chocolate Boy. (caution it's over 12 min. long)

So that's what a Bentley looks like? (caution Paris Hilton alert)

Now the desert, to clean your mind

Christina's Candyman

OK, one more for you truckers, and anyone who spends time on the highway.

How many do YOU recognize?

Thursday, March 08, 2007

Well, it looks like it's starting

The backlash against the global warming greenies.

Out in the world we have REAL scientists putting REAL facts out, instead of scary emotional theories.

AND most importantly, in regular life.
I saw this written on a pickups back window the other day,,,it was in AUSTIN! Texas' home of the liberal movement.
"I support Global Warming!"

Today, I saw a Chevy dually with another message.

"Rolling down the road at 8 miles per gallon"

Cool, too bad I'll miss getting filthy rich on my carbon offset scam plan, though.

Just another post about "Global Climate Change"

Actually not much of a post, more of a thought.

The Libs should be happy about global warming because it really shows evolution in action.
You know species changing in response to their environment- OR- going extinct if they can't.

Because, you know it's less hardship to starve to death because your prarie turned to dessert than it is to be shot for meat.

Something to brighten your day

If your a guy

-OR- if you're 'good gay'

And IF You like hot babes- no matter where they work (CUG)

Kiran Chetry says "Good Morning" as only she can...

Sorry for the shortage of posting, but I got another load cut last night. This is the third week that I'll be averaging less than $10/hr, I can't afford to work there much longer. BUT when the pay is good, it's very good. I just can't see it evening out for quite a while. I guess I'll be looking for something I can afford to work at. Too bad though, I really like the job.

AND you'll not the time I posed this, because someone keeps leaving the bedroom door ajar so the newest dog can wake me up as soon as the girls leave for school (around 7:10 AM). Added to the fact that the 18 yr-old forgot she had an orthodontist appt this morning- so I got phone calls too.

(UPDATE 03-09)
This has been up for a day and nobody's mentioned Kirens ...... leg?

Just skip this if you're tired of the Anne Coulter thing

I'm getting kinda tired of Republicans mostly and conservatives jumping all over the Edwards=fag comment.

They say the Libs are using this as an example of how "evil" and "nasty" the Conservatives are. That it was uncalled for. How the Left is watching to see how we handle it.

OF COURSE the left is watching. They're laughing their @sses off at how fast Conservatives started attacking her.
Yeah, what she said was stupid and childish- and we should be on a higher plane than the Left. Yadda, yadda, yadda...

BUT- why do we ALWAYS publicly attack the squeeky wheel?
The Libs know that all they have to do is act "offended" by a comment or misrepresented action made by a Republican, and all they have to do is sit back and watch the fun.

Libs, on the other hand, form ranks and defend the person, if not the act.
Admittedly, they have a willing accomoplis in the MSM, but they don't turn on their own.
They even reward lawbreakers.

Ok, she said something stupid. I have, you have, anyone with a mouth has.
The Left is loving it, the way we're hacking away at her- because we're doing their work for them.
I'm knida glad we have Anne out there. I'm getting tired of always having to take whatever vile crap the Left dishes out because "we're the party of maturity" or whatever- while the Libs say the most vile things and walk away knowing they'll get a pass.

I'm not sorry Anne said what she did- it was a childish statement about a hypocritical public figure. Lets get over it already.

I understood everything he said

Really!

Now, for something completely different!

That much?

I AM surprised...

You Are 24% NYC

Okay, so maybe you've been to NYC. But you probably really live in Connecticut.

But I have traveled to other countries, too.

Maybe I should look at it as even as different as NYC and rural Texas are, we're still Americans and have something in common?

Happily stolen from Miriam.

(PS- I marked four answers)

Monday, March 05, 2007

So the Dems don't like the way our wounded are being handled?

Well, I'm glad they're looking into it.
They're asking what went wrong, and how long it's been going wrong, and naturally making statements about it.

"We need a sustained focus here, and much more needs to be done," Rep. John Tierney (news, bio, voting record) said of a scandal enveloping Walter Reed. Charges of bureaucratic delays and poor treatment there have produced calls in Congress for quick reform.

Tierney said he is afraid "these problems go well beyond the walls of Walter Reed," adding that "as we send more and more troops into
Iraq and Afghanistan, these problems are only going to get worse, not better."

And being Dems, naturally knockng Bush:
Tierney, D-Mass., chairman of the panel, questioned whether problems at the facility are "just another horrific consequence" of inadequate planning that went into war in Iraq; a problem created by contracting out work there to private business, or some other cause.

"This is absolutely the wrong way to treat our troops, and serious reforms need to happen... immediately," he said.

So, since that all of this is comming out now, are their own hands finally untied?
Because we all know hat they care so much, that as soon as they knew, they'd have to do "something" to set it right.
Right?
The controversy started last month with a series of stories in The Washington Post, but lawmakers said reports of the failures go back several years.

Rep. Henry A. Waxman, D-Calif., said that in addition to several government audits, there was a February 2005 Salon magazine story on poor conditions at the hospital's psychiatric ward; a 2006 report on problems screening people with brain injuries and a 2005 think tank report criticizing the complex disability program.

'My question is: Where have you been?" Tierney asked, when the third panel of witnesses took their seats at the witness table. They were Geren, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Peter Schoomaker, and his vice chief, Gen. Richard Cody.

Actually you self serving polititions, the problem's been bad for the last 60- or so years.
You're only now trying to do something with it because it's something else to hit the President over the head with.

Can I tell you what two BIG parts of the problem are?
  1. Half of ALL medschool grads are in the bottom half of their class- where do YOU think they'd work? The same with manegement.
  2. This IS government healthcare we're talking about. If you think this is bad, wait until you have 100 times the workload.
Ok Dems, repeat after me- Military healthcare IS GOVERNMENT healthcare.
I know they don't care, because their government health care won't be the same as OUR government healthcare.

(UPDATE 03-06)
Ya know, I was driving all night last night, and it occurred to me that IF the dems were so concerned about "The Troops" that:
  1. They should SUPPORT the surge
  2. They should stop aiding the enemy by their actions
  3. They should DEMAND that Bush let them take off the handcuffs and proactively defend themselves. You know do away with the PC cr@p and hurt the terrorists and their enablers.
But we all know that's not going to happen, helping Bush would be like stopping breathing- reflexively impossible over the long run.

You heard it here first

I beat Drudge again!

Windows Vista has been hacked!

I'm kinda surprised that it took this long.

There's a lot of thechnical stuff that I have no idea about, but it boils down to the fact that Microsoft is shipping some versions of Vista that don't check for authenticity.

Because the end user doesn't wantto be inconvenianced...

I. . . ahh . . . . .eagerly await your comments

Woman Golfer

A Woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the woods.

She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.

The frog said to her, "If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes."

The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, "Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes.

Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!"

The woman said, "That's okay."

For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.

The frog warned her, "You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to".

The woman replied, "That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful Woman and he will have eyes only for me."

So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful Woman in the world!

For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world.

The frog said, "That will make your husband the richest man in the world. And he will be ten times richer than you."

The woman said, "That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is mine."

So, KAZAM-she's the richest woman in the world!

The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered, "I'd like a mild heart attack."

Foreign Object Damage

That's when *anything* is sucked into a jet engine.

The Airedales are really supposed to know about that.
I was a Sea Bee and we learned about it when we worked around airfields.

That's what puts the stamp of *STUPID* all over this story.

Here is some background on jetmech stuff:
"I cannot fathom someone intentionally putting something down the intake of an aircraft," Thompson added.

The single-engine F-16 was being checked on June 26, 2006, inside a "hush house," where maintenance work is performed when noisy engines are cranked up at high capacity.

One of the first things maintenance airmen are taught is not to bring any foreign objects into the hush house, including cameras or debris, several non-commissioned officers testified.

During testimony, prosecutor Maj. Jennifer Kramme showed Master Sgt. William Beasley II a foreign object no bigger than a pebble and asked if one of them was dangerous.

"To smaller (engine) blades, this could be catastrophic," Beasley replied.

So now WE know what Airedales know, -Keep things away from jet engine intakes-
Now, on with the events...

March 3, 2007 (by Erik Slavin) - A staff sergeant who watched as one airman attempted and another threw a small frog into a running F-16 jet engine received three months in jail and a bad conduct discharge in a Kunsan Air Base courtroom Friday night.
Staff Sgt. Aaron F. Wilson, of the 35th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, also received a reduction in rank to E-1 on three specifications of dereliction of duty.

Military Judge Lt. Col. Eric Dillow sentenced Wilson to four months in jail, but the sentence was reduced due to a pretrial plea agreement.

The incident was filmed using Wilson's camera and posted on his public myspace.com Web site, where it remained for nine days.

Remember the "no foreign object rule?"

Now, to show you how absolutely lame the Airman was; even *I* know a fully throttled jet can suck a grown man into it. Lets see what happened when our pitcher took the mound...
Last month, Sr. Airman Welland Wilkerson was sentenced to 30 days in jail and reduction in rank to E-1 for throwing the frog at the engine, although he missed. Wilkerson's sentence was commuted to reduction in rank to E-2 by the wing commander, legal officials said.

A trial date has not yet been set for Staff Sgt. Herman Elizee, who ultimately tossed the frog in the engine.

Ohhh, and just imagine how much his buddies loved to do this:
Kunsan's fleet of 41 jets was grounded so every engine could be checked for potential problems following the frog toss, said wing vice commander Col. Preston Thompson, a former F-16 pilot instructor who testified Friday.

Thompson "got calls from all over the Air Force (asking) "What's wrong with the Wolf Pack?'" following the grounding, he said.

More than 400 maintainers worked over the weekend to check the engines and dispel the possibility that other engines were similarly mistreated, Thompson said.

Sexy

...AND they're on the right side, too.

On the other hand, we have a perfect example that ugly goes all the way to the bone.

" Conservative activists have speculated that Mr. McCain did not want to be seen on television "pandering" to Republican "right-wingers" but wanted to court those same activists at a reception in the same hotel.
"He turned down repeated CPAC offers to speak but then tried to get around us by having his office call the hotel to rent a room for a reception for CPAC attendees -- without first seeking approval of CPAC organizers," said Mr. Lauderback."

Yet another islamic sabbath today

Lets continue on with our piggish celebration of their Holy day and learn more about more pigs in literature.

This book has several of our Islamic friends favorite animals as heros.
The most well known are Napolian and Snowflake.

This book also shows how the world would be if other groups had their way in our land.
This time, though it's not the Moslims, it's the way the Democrats would rule if they could.
