Netflix

Firefly

Which channel did it used to be on, and how did I miss it?

  1. You missed it because it didn't even make a full season. The DVD has three episodes that never even aired. This show is brilliant and the movie is pretty darn good too. It was originally on Fox but they shuffled the episode order around and showed Train Job first, not a good choice. The pilot didn't show til halfway through the season, by which time the series was pretty much dead. There was a huge push to bring it back on another network but everyone has moved on and I suspect this is now just wishful thinking.

    1. Serenity is the movie based on the TV series Firefly. Opposite order.

  4. Fox and because they cancelled it.

They wondered why it didn't do so good, after they didn't show the pilot and aired the other episodes out of order.

A more incompetent group of network executives would be hard to find...

  5. Don't feel bad, I missed it when it came out. And fans have been pissed at Fox all this time, and will likely continue. It truly was a well done show. The Science Channel runs Firefly marathons once in a while and they show the episodes in the proper order.

  6. I missed it, watched and loved Serenity, then tried to watch the series. After 4 episodes I lost interest, but finally went back and finished it. Glad I did, but still like the movie better.

  8. You are supposed to watch the series FIRST. The movie was made to wrap up the plot lines in the series. You people who do things in the wrong order make me crazy. I'll bet you eat your dessert before the salad too.
