I knew I should have tethered that mouse trap when I put it inside the skirting.
Now I have a mouse (or whatever) dragging around a peanutbuttery mouse trap.
It'll probably end up dying in the wall right next to my bed, too.

Some job skills are universal
As an electrician everyone I work with knows basic things, these are encompassed in a 'law' called the National Electric code.
Some of these even a helper should know...
You can only put 360 degrees worth of bends in an uninterrupted run of conduit- that's 4- 90's, 2-90's and 4-45's, 3-90's and 2-45's...etc...
Any wire that isnot white, green, tan, bare are considered either grounds or neutral. All others carry varying amounts of voltage.
That is an American standard that all electricians know.
If I had a helper that didn't know those basics, he wouldn't be working with me very long.
Now the Omnipotent One is asking his buddies in Congress to give Tim Geithner a pass as His new Treasury Secretary.
This college grad who's made his living in high finance all his life didn't know he had to pay taxes as an independent contractor?
Isn't that as basic as ballencing the books?
...And Congress is giving him a pass on it!
'It was an honest mistake, just ask Charley Rangell (D-the hood).'
BULLSHIT, it was tax fraud. It you or I tried that, the IRS would be on us like a freight train and just as caring.

A comment from the afterlife
Tojo wants us to forward a comment to the Hammas terrorists.
Basically he's calling them a bunch of pansies and telling them to man up and face their enemies (like their women and childeren are).
I see your behavior and it just leaves me aghast.
I can understand the surprise terror raids and rocket attacks against an enemy. I've done that sort of thing myself, ask the Americans about Pearl Harbor. However what I do not understand is why you all start acting like a pack of whiny little bitches the moment the Israelis start fighting back.
Where are your balls?
Imperial Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, we woke up the sleeping American giant, and it handed us our asses on a plate.
Did we go whining to League of Nations, saying that they were being "disproportionate?"
No.
Because the Japanese are true warriors in the tradition of Bushido. When we pick a fight, and get slapped back, we don't cry and get our Iranian funded proxies to scream and rant in the United Nations. We fight, take our lumps, and win or lose, accept the end, and take responsibility for our actions.

I just noticed this
Pick a spot and match your speed
That's the main idea when entering a limited access highway.
It works, too.
What doesn't work is you meandering up the on ramp at 40 MPH and expecting traffic to magically get out of your way.
OR, you're so intimidated by an under powered F-750 hauling a backhoe that you back off the gas a your merging- forcing him to use his brakes and then take the next three miles to get back his speed.
Stopping abruptly isn't a good idea either.
And in other driving advice...as I've told the girls if you're late you can't makeup time by driving stooopidly.
You'll either get a ticket or be in a wreck, and either of them will make you even later.
The wreck will take even more time and cost a hell of a lot more, too- if your lucky enough to be unhurt.
Not to mention all the people on the road behind you waiting for the wreck to be cleared will *hate* you with a passion and hope you die a horrible death.

Israel: "our bad."
Maybe this stuff wouldn't keep happening if the U.N, would crack down on terrorists using their stuff for cover.
You know, using U.N. ambulances for transporting Hezbollah weapons.
Looting U.N. humanitarian supplies.
Firring rockets from U.N. schools.

I hope I made AlGore cry yesterday
See, we were out in the sticks when we ran out of propane for the pear burner and needed to bend two sticks of conduit.
So I fired up the big Vermeer trencher and ran it at full throttle while I heated the conduit from it's exhaust.
I wonder what else I could have done to affect the 'kitten of the sea' just to make the PETArds cry?

Repeating a post
In which I linked to Xran and his simple timeline on the RoP, and how you can refer to Hammas supporters as Nazis.
It's about a year old, but still pertinent.
BTW,,,doesn't Hajj Amin al-Husseini (bff's with Hitler, Himmler and Eichman)bear a striking resemblance to George Carlin?

That dumbass that cut you off yesterday?
Yeah, the one that shot across four lanes to the off ramp with a cell phone jammed in his ear.
Guess what he's looking forward to getting in about 18 months?
Doesn't that thought make you feel safe?

I'm sorry...but
Am I the only one who saw the PETArd thing about renaming fish into "Sea Kittens" before?
I mean, it was almost six months ago when they came up with this thing.
Now all the *cool* bloggers are getting onto the *Sea Kitten* thing?
Doooods, they started this almost six months ago, I may have even tossed off a post about it. So, one of the 'Big Bloggers' saw it and ran with it- now you all have to do the obligatory posting?
Isn't that kinda ...insescestual?
UPDATE--
So does that mean we're supposed to call them "Kitten of the Sea?"

The price of gas is going up
Here it's gone up about a quarter in the last two weeks.
I heard something on the radio that the increase is because of the Israeli/Gaza war.
Ok, I can buy that, because we what kind of OPEC powerhouses both of them are.
Added to the fact that they control the strategic access to...one small part of the eastern Mediterraneans shoreline.
And the fact that the Palies couldn't keep an oil pipeline working if their lives depended on it.
Yep, I can see the thinking behind this price bid-up.
OHHH,,,that blue U.N. truck the IDF blew up? That has Pali occupants, what kind of rocket was it hauling?

So I'm supposed to feel sorry for her?
Why?
Her first tour of Iraq was in 2006, about five years after we invaded,,,(with the U.N.s approval- you Liberal Bush haters).
She had to have had *some* thoughts on the morality of the Iraq war before she enlisted.
For some reason, I think her ,,,awakening,,, in Iraq had something more to do with the realities of living in a third world country than the way the war was being run.
So when thesedraft dodgers deserters war resisters head to Canada to live, do they need to get a job or are they supported by those 'War Resisters Supporters Campaign' in all their needs?

The worlds anti semetic outrage at the presumtiveness of Israel to defend its self will make this obsolete...

Filling The Lighbringers seat
All this brohaha about Blagojevich holding the seat for the highest bid is a little ,,,
perplexing to me.
The Dems didn't have any problems approving appointments and policies made by a U.S. President while under Congressional impeachment. Chit, they took glee in rubber stamping them.
Now, for some reason, it's bad for a Governor who is supposed to be presumed innocent to do his duty. Why there's a need to rush to fill it is beyond me, since they should be used to it being empty.
I mean it's been empty almost as long as HIMSELF has been a Senator and he's been running for President.
Or am I missing something there?

Why?
Why do mice just *have* to wait until I'm trying to sleep before they start gnawing their way into my house?
I mean, -daym, we've had so many mice here already that there should be some kind of mouse highway.
But,,,NOOOOoooo, out intrepid ratones want to make their own way to visit the mouse trap, so they want to start when people are trying to sleep.
I left the skirting open specifically so those feral cats would go after the mice.
Didn't work, they were both tearing up the underneath of my house in a co-operative effort to show how much they appreciated my $75,000 habitat for wayward critters.
I'm almost asleep (again) when they have to start gnawing in the middle of my bedroom.

An interview
With our newest Senato from NY.
In a curious bit of prescience...and set to music.
Yes THAT Caroline Kennedy.
But why not?
They've got a comic who hasn't been funny since his '80s SNL gig that just got done stealing the Min. election...

Decisions,,,
I went out to get some beer earlier and while I was opening the gate I saw three cats coming out from the neighbors house.
Actually it was a cat and two catlets, mostly white and about 20 yards from where I was standing.
What was I to do?
Go back to the house for the .22, or dig through the back seat of the cab for the .38?
Since I haven't been able to stop at the range after work for various reasons- weather, time, etc... my last target had a pattern about as big as a dinner plate.
As much as I hate feral cats, I decided to not not shoot at something I wasn't sure of killing.
So I got in the truck and went on a beer run.

Israel VS the world
Israel is doing what it has to do to defend herself from unrepentant terrorists who's only purpose in life it to kill as many Jews as possible.
I read a post that I'd link to if I could remember where it was (it was yesterday and I've slept since then) that basically pointed out the utter hypocrisy of almost all the other nations in the world concerning the "Jewish question."
It went something like this; the world and the U.N. are condemning Israel for defending it's self.
If a country sent troops to kidnap your citizens and soldiers it was a right to take action against that country- until Israel did.
If a country attacked yours with missiles, it was a right to take defensive action- until Israel did.
If a group of people began sending their suicide bombers across the border, no one would object to a war being declared- until Israel did.
I'm glad Israel is going after those organized terrorists, and they need to tell the terrorist apologists to STFU and do what they need to do in order to make their citizens safer. Make the Gazinians(?) feel real pain, not this fake 'feel bad for me because I'm being oppressed' crap. Keep making them hurt until they HAVE to make changes in their attitude.
BTW- all these Arab countries that feel so badly for the Palies...why don't they offer a patch of desert somewhere and see if they can match Israels example?
But we know the answer to that, don't we- that the Palies are nothing but rabid dogs that no one wants around.

A five day week-end
It's a nice thought, except that if you don't work you don't get paid.
I just got back from the bank and can see from the way people are driving, that SAPD and their emergency responders are going to be busy.
Going through Castroville I was almost broadsided bysome senile old f ck an elderly gentleman crossing HWY 90.
Then on the way east to San Antonio, was made aware of my lack of speed by a black F-150 Fx4 and the way he was cutting lanes to get ahead of us. He finally made it to the head of the pack when we got to the 410 exit and he was able to get off about five cars ahead of me. I hope when he finds the wreck he's looking for, I don't know anyone involved.
Add the fact that it's a drizzly kind of day where the roads are kinda greasy feeling and I'm glad I'm home.
Now to see what I can do about a good looking prototype for my conduit bell-end maker.

Israels innocent victims
Sorry, we're talking about Gaza where everyone who can walk is an enemy of Israel.
The population voted for Hammas to be their Representative government.
The 'civilian population' is actively assisting in stockpiling rockes, ammunition or explosives to use against Israel.
There is almost no one in Gaza that is an innocent bystander.
There are alot of brainwashed people out there- and not just in the territories (calling Hollyweird and the unsinkable Cindy Brown) who think that Israel somehow has less than a right to defend her people from indiscriminate rocket fire.
What I want to know is where -in the last 60 years- is this vaunted Islamic, Arab brotherhood who looks out for their unfortunate brothers?
I mean Israel isn't much bigger than New Jersey but can accommodate the returning faithful- BUT all the arab nations surrounding Israel can't find a piece of desert to relocate their fellow moslims? They force them to live in the security zone?
Not that I blame them- I wouldn't want them infecting my population with their 'rage against...power' because who would want to knowingly bring a rabid dog into their house?

We have met the enemy
And she was a U.S. Senator Representative from Georgia.
Well, actually it was the Israeli Navy that met Sen. Moonbat.
They'd been chasing the boat, who refused to co-operate for over half an hour when the collision occurred. Maybe no one on board spoke english that well. We know theSenator Rep. doesn't :"McKinney said, "There is a need for the medical supplies that is on this boat;..."
Thanks Cindy, and we're also glad the Israelis are stress-testing those weapons for us.
I Hope they keep it up until there ARE only women and children left.
Go Team Israel!

We have new neighbors
Or maybe not. The people living catty-corner down the road are doing things that weren't being done last year- in a maintenance kind of way.
They also have a dog that we hadn't heard until several months ago.
It's a Beagle or Basset Hound or one of those others that don't bark so much as bay.
and bay.
And bay, and it sounds horribly bad tempered.
An angry type of noise at nothing.
Which even the neighborhood dogs are starting to ignore.
I wish I could, it's an annoying angry warble that tells me it would rather vote for a Liberal than eating.

Due to the drought
All fireworks are banned in Bexar and surrounding counties.
And just to get y'all used to the newest and best example ofOrwellian governmental socialist Nationwide law enforcement, we're being encouraged to turn in your neighbors for ANY infringements of the ban.
They'll then be visited by tomorrows incarnation of the Sicherheitsdienst because you know,,, our newest administration knows this is for the best.
Oh, guess which party is:
A- The one the County Judge Nelson Wolff belongs to
and
B- The majority in San Antonio city government.
So remember people, if you see your neighbor,,or any of your relatives doing something suspicious- let any of The One's helpful representatives know.
Because that policy has wonderful precedence in his belief system.

She just doesn't know it yet.

You know, I could use a pair of those X-ray shades.

It was awe, dammit
Those Marines that Himself deigned to visit for a photo op over Christmas weren't aloof and restrained, they were in shock and awe from his greatness.
He went to the Marine Corps base just to say Thank Y......... Oh! That's why he was in the mess hall with the awed troops.
Good thing for moral that Bush is on the way out...
Thanks to J.D.

PSA on the Saxet gun show
For those searching, it will be at the Freeman Coloseum next weekend. January 3rd and 4th in San Antonio.
If you're on I-35, take the ATT drive exit and head south- it'll take you right to it. It will be on the right.
If you're on I-10, take the Houston St. exit and go west (notrth) toward the Valero station. about half a mile from that, you'll see it on the right.
Parking is $3 and admission is $10.
I'd go, but don't want to fight the crowds. Even my gun store was crowded this week-end. Usually there are just a few cars in the lot, but when I went past the day after Christmas it was full.

There is an old saying
Something in the line of "be careful of what you wish for, because you may get it."
Well it sounds like the Lightworker is starting to get a little tired of those who got him elected. He's already crying about the constantslobbery kisses girlish squeeling adoration coverage of the media.
The press is noticing too, and trying to let you know just how hard it is being the ONE.
