Hey Sam Donaldson!
Merry Christmas!
That is the reason for the Holliday until you Liberals spent 30 years turning it into what it is today.
Now go f*ck yourself with a Kwanza bush...or whatever.

Not to be obsessing
But how many squares do you count?
Some say 24 others say 26
I'll show you what I got later after the jump.
When you're well lubricated :-)
UPDATE:
Ok, Mike the EE got it and pretty well explained it, so I'm not going to play with photoshop tonight.

An update on the S-10 front
Apparently, Chevy(or their Japanese supplier) included a low oil cut-off switch in the V-6.
All I did was add a quart of oil to my too low crankcase and it fired right up.
I have a slow leak from the front seal and I'm about 1500 miles late on the oil change....so.

Thursday Thickness already?
We'll call this thieving thickies, because I'm poaching from my bloglist-
These two from Odysseus-
Our starlet is a bit obscure who comes to us via Flares-
And not the least of these comes from our own Feral Irishman-
Now enjoy a good jiggle for Christmas.

May as well give this a shot-
Any mechanics want to weigh-in on why an `03 S-10 doesn't want to start?
It ran fine until I turned it off to check on something at the job, and just wouldn't start again.
It turns over, but seems to be a lack of spark---or the fuel pump finally went out, since I don't hear it anymore....
UPDATE-
Weds. 6:47PM
Thanks for all the suggestions.
About the only thing I had time for today was to check the schrader valve and I got a good squirt of fuel from it.
Didn't have time for anything else after working 11 hours and getting it moved to our company yard.
Now I can work on it over the week we have off or get it towed to somewhere I can trust the mechanic.

One more thing about the Connecticut shooting
Who remembers the MSM sometime late on Friday or Saturday that the wack-job tried to buy a gun the previous week, but was denied?
Ok, that background check worked like it was supposed to, right?
Aren't those background checks supposed to be destroyed after being ok'd or denied?
Or is it the responsibility of the gunshop to keep records?
So, if the .GOV has records of what you bought-- what's to stop them from showing up on your doorstep and saying "0bama and Holder have decided that your brand new AR or AK is now illegal and if you don't want to see the inside of a prison for fifteen years hand it over"?
Congress? I laugh
The SCOTUS? I'm remembering the 0bamaKare decision and now am ROTFLMAO.

Thoughts on the Conn. slaughter
I hate to say ti, but I would feel more remorse or sadness if the Main Stream media and their fellow travelers wouldn't be so gleeful in their attempted massacre of our second Amendment.AND the dancing in the blood of the innocent.
It's like why not stop all computer generated media from saying something stupid because when they thought of the First Amendment, all they had was soap boxes on the corner and printing presses.

One of the things about undergound utilities
Is that you can't see 1/4" through dirt.
So to know where things are, so you don't put holes in things that are down there, we call for line locates.
The utilities involved -who don't want their lines broken and have to fix them- come out and throw colored paint on the ground where the lines are:
Orange for COMM.
Red for ELECTRIC
Blue for WATER
Green for SEWER
Yellow for GAS
The way you're supposed to find them is to pothole where the paint is, to be sure the operator knows where they are.
That being said, the guys doing the potholing are supposed to stop when the FIND the utility they're looking for. That doesn't happen when you have three guys who give less than a f*ck.
You notice the pothole stops 6" away from that 1 1/2" gas line?
I was told "Ya boss- that gas line is alor deeper than were digging."
Except that I know how deep gas lines are on this part of the base.
This one that stopped about 14" down- I was told "Ya boss that phone line is in concrete, we found the edge right there."
Except that I know the phone lines aren't encased in 'crete here, either.
We came on the orange sand about 2 feet below where they stopped.
Then we uncovered a second phone line that wasn't marked and called base comm guy -who didn't know it was there either.
These two are the before and after pictures of the last gas line we found.
Notice the way the pothole trench is going parallel with the marks instead of the more useful across the marking hole? If you go across where the line is supposed to be, you won't miss the gas line by 4" like we see in the last picture.
My spotter/co-operator asked why I didn't make them redo them. I told him I just wanted the stupid f*cks out of my way.
Their foreman didn't like it much when I called him out on it with the Super standing right on top of the most obvious miss (the top pic).

Yesterday a bunch of Liberals held a refief concert
For another bunch of Liberals who were impacted by hurricane Sandy.
It was dubbed the 12-12-12 concert for Sandy victims- or something.
I don't know *why* they need help, they just voted Superman back in to make everything right with a twitch of his nose.
BUT- more to the point: How much do you think all those Liberals made by preforming compared to what is going to Sandy "relief"?

See anybody you know?
On this latish news story about 0bamas business friends?
Business Forward, an association formed in 2009 to advance President Barack Obama’s economic agenda, has spent plenty of time with White House officials during the fiscal cliff imbroglio.
Thursday the group is holding the last of seven briefings with top Obama administration officials about budget issues, The Hill reports.
~Snip~
Business Forward’s members include AT&T, Facebook, Lockheed Martin, McDonald’s, Verizon, and Wal-Mart.
“When you’re an ally of the president, you can often bring in as many people into the White House as you want,” Jade West, senior vice president of government relations for the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, told The Hill.
“Business Forward is a political organization founded to support the Obama administration. So the fact they can bring people in to see the president and his people is neither a surprise nor terribly impressive.”
I need to see about getting a new cell phone provider.

A girl and her gun- blog had a good run this week
In her answer to an "expert" telling how to foil potential attackers.
Gave me the Rule Five Thursday idea of Gunny girls (who aren't married to TSM):
I just feel a need to critique these pics,,,,ok?
Sure, it's my blog and i hope that my visitors will feel the same.
#1- Yep- She's an operator. Make her happy -or you won't be.
#2- In a heartbeat. Like a screen door.
#3- Muffin-top, even when you have to force it!
#4- If you cropped everything out of that pic except the smile, you'd know she was an American.
#5- Raquel Welch... even I'd probably be speechless at her........................ power...

Who in the Wide, wide world of sports could have seen this coming?
I mean, who would have thought that giving arms to Libyan rebels would end up in the hands of terrorists?
Certainly not the brain trust that is the 0bama administration.
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar last year, but American officials later grew alarmed as evidence grew that Qatar was turning some of the weapons over to Islamic militants, according to United States officials and foreign diplomats.
BUT! There is good news in this- gotta spin it for your team any way you can, right NYT?
No evidence has emerged linking the weapons provided by the Qataris during the uprising against Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi to the attack that killed four Americans at the United States diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, in September.
And we're stuck with these hapless f*cks until at least 2016.
**********Extra points for whoever can identify who used the title phrase.

More and more of this sh1t
It's not a purge- yet, but it sure is starting a pattern.
It's like someone is sending a message saying you're not safe no matter where you command.
YOKOSUKA NAVAL BASE, Japan -- The commanding officer of a Navy Seabee battalion was fired Monday for mismanagement, the Navy announced this week.
Capt. Sean McDonell, who commanded the Seabee reserve unit Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 14 in Jacksonville, Fla., was also relieved for unspecified “major program deficiencies,” according to a Navy statement.
HMMmmmmmmmmm.........
McDonell is at least the 25th Navy commanding officer to be relieved of duty in 2012. There were 22 commanders relieved in 2011.

That reminds me
I need to put sugar on the shopping list.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Their ranks thinned by a 16-month lockout, American Crystal Sugar Co. workers on Saturday rejected a contract for the fourth time.
Contract opponents say the sugar beet processor's five-year contract offer would cut health care benefits and weaken job security and seniority protections. The company says the offer would raise worker pay by 17 percent over five years when a $2,000 signing bonus is taken into account.
Leaders of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International union said in a news release that the workers voted 55 percent to reject management's contract offer.
~snip~
Company officials said in a statement Saturday after learning about the workers' vote that the package is "solid and generous" and "similar to what we are offering our current employees."
"We're finding the pay and benefits included in it are attracting high quality area workers who are now creating a productive and successful new workforce for our Company," the statement said. "The Company continues to move forward and focus on running our business, processing beets and delivering sugar to our customers."

I am always reminded of this quote
Whenever I see Valerie Jarrett:
"And, you know, the thing about a shark... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screaming..." Quint- Jaws
And the android looking skin on her face,,,, that just somehow looks unnatural.
