As I sit here

Doing the DAILY installation of WinVISTA *very important* updates.

I'm looking at going back to my favorite set of stadium lighting to try to find out why one light won't work. Nice, and I have to get on the platform and reach around a 2' reflector. OR re-run about 10' of wire thar could have gotten stripped when the cable assy. pulled loose and dropped the 60+ feet to the bottom.
I had to remake the pinplug yesterday because most of the top parts stayed with the bottom when it dropped.

It's weird, I blew a fuse wile pairing the wires up, and when we light the top bar, all of the lights come on except the far one (without the fuse). When we swap fuses, only one light (out of 4) come one- and NOT the one that was missing a fuse.

I was listening to Joe Lieberman talking to Sean Hannity on the way home and he actually sounded rational. Like he could look at both sides of an issue and try to decide what to do by using facts instead of emotion.

Then I remembered that he was a Veep for John F'ing Kerry (D-ork)* AlGore (D-oofus) and the only reason he isn't a Dem now is that the flaming Libs in Conn. threw him out for realizing the GWT actually was doing good.

I like Joe Lieberman and think that he means to try doing what is actually best for the country without the iron plated dogma of the far left blinding him. I'd even cut him some slack on some of his ideas,,,,but know I's probably not vote for him as Prez.....unless he was up against either Dem running now.

After Hil or Barry turn our private health care system into an even larger example of the Walter Reed fiasco; which insurance are they going to decide is the 'new' right?

I'm torn between my 'right' to Gov't run auto insurance or my 'right' to homeowners insurance.

I'd have to guess the next 'right' will be the auto insurance,,,get all those illegals who won't buy auto insurance on the dole (just like the health care) and they'll be sure to drive much better, just like they take care to only use the Emergency room for life threatening emergencies.

I wonder what it would be if I had tacky tats?

We They started setting the lights for the stadium lights this morning while I was on the other side of town moving parts trailers form Clemons H.S. to Judson H.S. when I get a semi-frantic call from my foreman.

"Kurt, where are you?"
I'm just getting onto 1604 heading back to the Orchard (the shop), why?
"As soon as you get there, -don't even back into the barn-- bring the bucket ruck to Brandies, we really need it."
Ok, be there as soon as I can. (with traffic it's about an hour away).

I get back to the shop and back the haul truck into the barn and start the bucket truck. The storekeeper is heading out there, too with his crew to get excess parts, so I bring one of his kids, too.
We're on the way with the usual traffic jam before the I-10 interchange when my boss calls asking where I am.
Just coming up on the I-10 interchange.
"Hurry-up we need that bucket truck!"

We get there and just as I thought, they needed it to take the slings off the 65foot ballfield lighting. Or they'd have had to climb the poles to remove them.
So I set=up and go undo the slings. I know what my day is going to be like.

When we raise the second pole, the wire that was supposed to be secured to the inside top of the pole supplying the lights; ended up at the bottom. After undoing the slings, I went up to see about getting the wire back up when I met my new friend looking at me from a hand hole about 61feet in the air. I dropped the winch line down the inside of the pole and raised the wires and secured them temporarily so my new friend could make his way down.

We got done with the rest with no other problems and I went back to animal refuge.
I mentioned the 61 feet because the max. lift on that bucket truck is 55feet. When I set-up the truck again, it was in a different spot, and I couldn't get high enough to work with both hands to push the 60'worth of wire weight back and onto the holder.
I also couldn't get my hand into the hole to find the other plug-end.

After getting to the yard, I'd put in another 10 hr day and looked at an hour drive home.

He's starting to look for actors to portray the rest of Bushs White House..
He wants it out before Jan- before bush leaves office.

But despite he being a flaming Lib, Stone says this movie will be even handed (in the best Liberal tradition).

Stone has said that the film, which will focus on the life and presidency of Bush, won't be an anti-Bush polemic, but, as he told Daily Variety, "a fair, true portrait of the man. How did Bush go from being an alcoholic bum to the most powerful figure in the world?"

• Both of you are Senators (one for two years and the other for six)- Are you trying to tell us that your energy plans have NOTHING to do with the rising cost of everything related to energy? That the rising cost of food (and fuel) isn't the result of your shortsighted insistence on biofuels? That you BOTH want to 'punish' the oil companys for making 9 CENTS /gal on fuel while you rake-in 60 CENTS in tax? That 'Big Oil' is to blame for the cost at the pump, but you say nothing about Wall Street oil profiteers?
• George Bush Graduated from an Ivy League school with high marks and an MBA- What are your qualifications for turning the economy around?
• So, what is it? You're judged by the company you keep- or not?

To John McCain- You say you "heard Americas voice" on the Mccain/Kennedy amnesty bill.
Shouldn't you maybe cosign Pryor’s S.2368 immigration bill, or stop blocking Schulers (D-NC) Save Act (H.R.4088)- since you like to work across the aisle?

I listen to the radio during the day when I can and get lots of blogfodder, but when I get home, I pretty much pull a blank. Maybe because I'm concentrating more on driving? Or, maybe I leave that at work, too?

There's one going around here about some acid blocker, it has someone moaning about gastric distress and it's intercut with laugh lines. The product starts with an X or a Z- not sure- can't stand to listen that long.

For the second time in about six months I've almost rear-ended someone who slammed on their brakes as soon as the light turned yellow.

It first time was in Hondo- in the rain when I was driving an empty sugar tanker.
The pick-up was sideways when he stopped almost in the intersection and my trailer wheels were skidding along the curb and my cab was in the middle lane.

This time he put the binders on about 100ft from the light as I was accelerating to follow him through the yellow.

Now I know why these other cities are causing wrecks from their red-light cameras.

I think the surge is working VERY well and this is one of the final lashing out of a badly wounded snake. Not that you'll hear that from the Dems, or the MSM- but I think looking at this spasm, that we may have turned a corner,,,that even the Senat Democrats have to acknowledge.
