Record sales at Chick-Fill-A yesterday
Sure is a lot of uproar about one bible-thumper stating what you'd expect a believing baptist to say.LOOK!
So, what is the willing accomplices in the lamestream media hiding from us about what's going on at the Chicago-on-the-Potomac?
Oh- LOOK!!
Chick-Fill-A!
QUICK, stare at it while we do something we don't want you to know about.

Now for news that's not
It's not news because it comes from CNN and it's about guns.
Actually It's basically a friendly puff piece for the gun control lobby with numbers pulled fromtheir asses some lefty gun surveys via the usual suspects.
Actually It's basically a friendly puff piece for the gun control lobby with numbers pulled from
The data, collected by
the Injury Prevention Journal, the United Nations Office on Drugs and
Crime, the General Social Survey and population figures from the U.S.
Census Bureau, found that the number of U.S. households with guns has
declined, but current gun owners are gathering more guns.
The United States tends
to have better data on gun numbers than other countries, for instance
Somalia or the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which may account for
the high percentage, according to Alan Lizotte, dean and professor at
the School of Criminal Justice at The University at Albany.
.~snip~
Politicians from both
parties have tip-toed around gun control after the Aurora, Colorado,
movie theater massacre to avoid political implications in the upcoming
election. However, studies suggest they are bowing to a smaller number
of American gun owners.
Those gun owners tend to live in swing states, explained Lizotte.
"You can see where [the
gun debate plays out] in the presidential election," said Lizotte.
"Where rural states are swing states and urban states are not."
Hey! Wasn't that theater a gun free zone?
Texas is a swing state? Oh yeah King Putt told the libs it was when he came here begging for money.
Still, while it is possible to collect accurate data on the number of
guns in the United States using manufacturing, import-export and
life-cycle data for the guns, the federal government has little idea of
who the guns owners are, gun policy experts said.
BULLSHIT!!!!!one!!!!
I'm fixing to pick up a new Henry this week-end and the .GOV will know EVERYTHING about the rifle and me. Then that record will go somewhere that it's not supposed to go, so the .GOV can confiscate it when the time is right and say "Oops, my bad- we didn't destroy the records like the we were legally required to do.
Now in the same vein of journalistic purity of spirit, have some self portraits.
Just remember what has been seen cannot be unseen.

Whoa, Valerie- lets back the soul train up
So Valerie Jarrett writes a piece of propaganda for the White House and her puppet who signed that Executive Order about a black education bureaucracy.
The President has made it a top priority to provide a complete and competitive education for all Americans – from cradle to career. The White Housebureaucracy Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, created by this Executive Order, will work across Federal bureaucracies agencies and with partners and communities nationwide to produce a more effective continuum of education bureaucracies programs for African American students. The initiative aims to ensure that all African American students receive an education that fully prepares them for high school graduation, college completion, and productive careers.
Just like we've been telling you we're going to do for the last 50 years.
In the nearly 60 years since the Brown v.Board of Education decision put America on a path toward equal educational opportunity, America’s educational system has undergone a remarkable transformation. Many African American children who attended substandard, segregated schools in the 1950s have grown up to see their children attend integrated and effective elementary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
(and those blacks in segregated schools could read and do higher math as well as understand the scientific method)
Nonetheless, substantial obstacles to equal educational opportunity still remain in America’s school systems. Disproportionately, students of color, including African Americans, lag in equal access to highly effective teachers and principals, safe schools, and challenging college-preparatory classes. And they experience school discipline and referrals to special education at higher rates than their peers.
Umm- Ok Val you got us there.
Is this new bureaucracy of yours going to try to do anything about that whole "Acting white" thing when black kids actually TRY to learn anything?
What about that whole single mother, welfare dependency, gangbanging attitude? Or is that another Presidential Order to start another Federal bureaucracy?

Unrelated thoughts
- The TX electrical reliability council has warned that with the Obama EPA coal fired powerplant chopping ax happening next year and the increase in population- that there would probably be (even more) rolling black-outs in the future..........there are suddenly no generators or motor-driven arc welders available in the SA craigslist.
- I've always had a very low tolerance for stupidity. I see Agirls husband does, too. I was going to leave this on my FB page, but decided to let you in on a part of my life at that sekrit AFB in San Antonio.
Last Weds they were told to clean off the ends of the pipe that got buried by the last rain- there were four ends going to two different trenches. On one of them, I was digging a 12'x12'x12' hole for a vault.
I had to tell them four times to go work on the other ones while I had that hole open-
Can you believe I had to tell those stupid f*cks to move the ladder?
- We had to get rid of some matting on the house-tribbles chest and pits with a petclippers. In the process I noticed we ended up cutting some of her whiskers. She doesn't seem to mind, but I'm wondering if they grow back?
Thanks to BFH for the IOtW-lanch.

So I took off Thursday to vote
It was a runoff election between a Tea Party Conservative and the RINO David Dewhurst.
After voting I had to take this picture showing what was prohibited from the polling place in Medina County, TX less than a week after the Aurora shootings.
Ya, cell phones!
Eat it hoplophobes.

I took off yesterday to vote and still got 56 hours, but I guess digging a trench is more important than presidenting.

Davit Dewhurst can't even make a good attack ad
Listening to that middle school script attacking Ted Cruz for US Senator yesterday morning decided me to take off today so I could be sure to vote against him and David Wentworth.
Badly written and read attack ads work- but they work the wrong way with me.

The NCAA hammered Penn State
I'm hearing two things about it.
It was wayyy to hard-
and
Tough, F-them they deserve it.
The ones that are saying it was way to harsh, and is punishing the innocent students- Hey the NCAA is a bunch of Liberal academics who believe the punishment should fit thecrime political ideals of the current PC protected class.
What I'm not hearing is the same cries of "it hurts the people not involved...who didn't have anything to do with it!" when the PO-Po come breaking down the wrong door at 3AM shooting the dogs and the homeowner...then having the taxpayers picking up the tab.
Or am I off base there?

35 hours on the clock since Sunday
I could take off about 11:30 tomorrow, but they authorized OT for this last week.
I don't know how much I want, because right now five days off sound good-
But so does lots of extra cash...
Except, like I told the boss- the more you make, the more they take out (which is why I wish they'd let us bank hours)
Anyway this is what I had running through my mind today:

No ice cream today
I'm working.
Go let the .GOV help you build something.
UPDATE-
I'm getting to old to be working 10 1/2 hour days in this heat.
i finished off a half gallon of Sunny-D in the 20 minutes it took to get home from the Wally-World I had to stop at for iguana chow.
We're working tomorrow because we hit a mis-marked gas line and we lost about two hours for the Lackland finest to find us (on one of the main streets) and shut off the gas so we could keep working.
Tomorrow we're going to try finishing what we didn't today.

Your choice
Truth to power.
Biting the hand that feeds you.
More realistic battle scenes than we get nowadays.
The Battle of Culloden on Netflix.
And the way our British overlords helped to ensure a free America...because we didn't want the benevolent attentions of the Crown going after our families.
AND how lucky we are that we had our military leader based on ability than royalty.
UPDATE:
"Braveheart:" it's not.
UPDATE II...
Wow, Bonnie Prince Charlie lead the Scots rebels like someone else I can think of once he was defeated...
Umm..haven't I heard that before that 'Bonnie Prince Charles Bravely runs away"?

Fun with cats
Get one fat house-tribble.
Rile her up by playing with her feet and back toes until she's growling.
Set her on the desk near the edge.
Let the stoopid puppy from hell start wanting to play with her.
Watch and laugh as stoopid puppy from hell gets repeatedly swatted with vengeance.

There's always hope, Ms. Social worker
Because your little thug was the only one who didn't run away when caught, and actually came at you afterwards-
Don't you think he's had enough "second chances"?

The USS Jerry Ford (CVN)
That's a thought, isn't it?
Now, who reading this didn't just a little- think, gawd how does an Aircaft Carrier trip?
But this is special because it's the first naval ship designed with a mixed sex crew.
Which means No Urinals!
Yes, we have broken the gender barrier
Now instead of urinals, women will have to put up with seats left up or some dickhead pissing all over the seat because he couldn't raise it.

Haven't flown in quite a while
And never since the iWON started ramping-up the Fourth Amendment assaults in the airports.
I was catching up on Tams posts and one of them made me wonder about how hard they look at what's in your basket?
So, who can spot the dangerous object that could bring down a 747...or something:
...That's been on my keyring so long I forget I have it until I need it...

A little perspective here people, please
Everyone is getting all jacked-up about those new Polo uniforms that Ralph Lauren dreamed up for the Olympic team.
It's really either that or some kind of fake western wear.
And that would be outsourced to some third-world sweatshop, too. Because why waste that extra Dollar on clothes when you can sent it to your Chicago Jeezus for stealing this next election?
Anyway, the beret ..ehhh, it's only the Olympics. Just another leftist PC bunch who thinks style is more than substance.
At least they don't have yacht hats on-

Micro-stamping and you
So I read around thee intra-toobz how the forces of evil are trying to get micro-stamping as some kind of de-facto standard on new fire arms.
I was at Tx Thunder last week before going home on a rain day. I had about $350 in gift vouchers to spend, so I looked at a .357 in nickle (don't know the model) that I didn't like because
An exposed spur that anyone with a piece of Emory cloth could have wiped out that micro-stamp in less than five minutes.
So I traded in my credits on a scoped .22 Henry...Which I could also jimmy the Micro-stamp with a judicious touch of JB weld.
I'm sure you've all seen the video of how to make a double-headed 16d form nail into a firing pin of an AR15/M-16 with almost no advanced machining required- right?
So you anti-freedom Libs who want to disarm honest citizens with your Barbara Streisand gun prohibitions can't win.
JB Weld
A file
A lathe
A nail
....you can't win.

- It turned backwards to what I'm used to.

So, the majik is back?
After three years of hearing the same thing read off the TelePrompter, people are starting to faint again?
Or is it more to do with something else? Over packed H.S. gyms or maybe the Screen Actors gild is planting these people to ad ...excitement to an otherwise boring and worn out play?

Why should 0bama show up?
The bro-s at the NAACP are kind of getting their collective noses out of joint because the second first black president sent his cracker Veep to their meeting instead of wasting his time fist-bumping the homies in Houston.
Really, Romney wasted his time talking to people who would never in a thousand years vote for him- why should the Chocolate Jeezus bother with people who are going to vote for him no mater what?

Just throwing this out for discussion
If anyone ever did find a way to make a real perpetual motion machine- it would be totally useless except for a viewing oddity.
Because it would have to be positioned somewhere in space where all gravity was neutralized and there was nothing touching it, much less being driven by it.

So we have the newest scam for the gullable
Basically it's from the well known fact that president Everyman has a secret stash that he uses to help the poor and downtrodden.
All you have to do is type in the red numbers on the back of your SocSec card, or in another scam- give the hustler your identifiers and they give you a routing number to pay your mortgage, electric bill ...or even buy your gas.
I wonder where people got the idea that Barack would pay for their shit?

...And will this "emergency" happen befor or after Nov. 6?
Inquiring minds are curious, but know it'll be before January 2013.
When you bring this Executive Order (that doesn't even have a number) into operation and take over the nations communications?
Do you notice that it's always been the Democrats who put people in detention camps, and(except for Lincoln) deny Constitutional guarantees?

Changyness and me
In the last 3 1/2 years I'll tell you how our Wally-world visits have changed.
Back in Jan. '09 we had:
Store brand bread for $.74
Meat that wasn't the best, but affordable
Shredded cheese bags for about $6.25
Miracle Whip for about $2.25
A head of iceberg lettuce for about $.50
Green bell peppers for about $.33
A pound can of coffee for about $4.50
Now, in July `12
Store brand bread for $1.25
Meat that cost like a good cut and leaves 2 cups of water when you cook it
Shredded cheese bags for almost $9.00
Miracle Whip for about $3.75 (on sale)
A head of iceberg lettuce for about $1.00
Green bell peppers for about $.88
A pound can of coffee for about $7.50
I'd *really* hate to see much more change....
