Advance like you own it.
The big one below the fold-
The thing's been a PITA for years.
That is one severe looking B......umm-road
As usual, the big one below the jump.
Unique way to carry a brace of pistols
As usual, the big one below the fold.
I was a little non-rate CECN and my Battalion was either just getting back from Guam or getting ready to deploy to Rota, Spain.
I'd been in for a little over a year- boot camp, BEEPs school, CE A-school meeting the battalion....
One of the two main reasons I enlisted was because the economy was so bad that I couldn't find a good job. Even trade unions weren't taking apprentices.
Fast forward to now and the 0biden-Harris regime is putting America back there again with Carters Stagflation on steroids and inflation about the same.
We lost the cold war and are living in what looks more and more like a Central American republic. Graft, favoritism, schools and financial systems steered by political juntas and the fact of the day.
I have about 20-25 years left to endure, but I really feel bad for my kids and grandkids for whom this is the new soviet normal.
Doesn't like how he was treated for three months he spent in jail.
Michael Avenatti is suing the Bureau of Prisons for $94 million.
If he didn't like how he was treated there for disrespecting Trump... or something- he should be glad he wasn't taking a walk close to Capitol Hill on Jan. 6 last year.
He's hate it even worse in the DeeCee Gulag.
...Or the loafing shed since it was originally an animal shelter.
Finally got the band saw working without it throwing the blade (and rolling 50 yards). Had to get longer axle bolts and nylon locknuts.
Now I need to get real steel bearings for the back part of the blade because it's already eating at the Chinesium plastic rollers. H/D has what I can use in stock- finally.
It's moving faster than the wheels make it look.
And when you warp the threads on a nut from welding to a bolt, and don't have a thread chaser- you use abrasives.
He's online over here.
At his other- other blog.
Not the -other- blog that says "we're working on it"....

And Rumble if I (probably did) not get the HTML right above
It's about as bad as you'd expect.
Because every 1st woman needs a theme song...or something.
It's embedded in this article on the bottom if you want to hear it.
What it reminded me of is the gravitas of the opening to "black Adder".
Since Slow Joe decided he's going to get Big Government to "do something" about the price of meat that "Big Meat" is costing the consumer...
I'm looking at a cheap, fatty roll of e-coli burger to cost $10/LB when he's done.
So we decided to stock up now when meat is only fucking expensive and to preserve it.
I'd rather go the drying rout, but research says that drying without freezing only lasts about a year.
So the other potions are brining, salting or canning.
I tried pressure canning about 5 pounds of meat today- I'm still out on WC for my knee- why not? It's too cold to work on the band saw.
SO-
With prep time and the half hour it takes to just get the steam rolling out the vent (before waiting the 10 minutes to actually start cooking/canning. and the 90 minutes it takes to actually cook the jars at 11PSI (12 was steadier and I doubt more heat is a problem) we're looking at a good 2 1/2 hours before you can start waiting to for the canner to depressurize on it's own......
Which I'm doing now and don't know how long it'll take--- we're looking at an all day job of babysitting a glorified quick cooker.
But-
At least humans have the supermarket.
