With trying to have a conversation with one where everything I said was met with some kind of attack and no kind of recognition at all that I might have legitimate reasons for it except that I was an unchanging far rightwing asshole and HE was the "independent voter who does THE research" except for looking at Far Rightwing bought-and-paid-for yadayadayada..."
I really don't go in for the hating a group just because, but I fucking hate ideologues that lie to themselves about who they are and won't admit anyone not in lockstep with them can be not wrong.
I know I'm going to get into it with him again, but I won't waste days of on again off again back and forth.

DeleteThe intent of the socialist is not to inform or reform, but to refute and ridicule all that you say. Because a core tenet of theirs is to personalize everything, the ridicule is directed at your person.
Now that you are in his crosshairs you can expecting further barrage, which you acknowledged as likely.
The above is based on my numerous experiences in trying to converse with them. Too, I have found the only sure method is to divorce completely from them.
Funny thing, and indicative of their character, is having cut them off they will seek you and with more fervency. They can't win if you won't play. They must win. Cycle and repeat.
It's always a coin toss for me to have any type of discussion with ignorant, malinformed idiots, but there is always a chance that a third party could be listening and he may be persuaded by an intelligent well informed discussion
