Seen at a Murphy's in Selma, TX

I haven't figured out the price per mile, but I'm sure it would even out- since they probably price it per BTU like we did for natural gas.

I was fueling the work truck and noticed the new blue hose...

I know mt S-10 V-6 went from about 22MPG to about 18 1/2 MPG when congress rewarded Big Ag by making us put food in our tanks.

So lets give that a try
22/ $2.92= 7.53
18.5/ $2.52= 7.34

Did I do that right?
It looks like it's about .2 cents more per mile for regular- unadulterated gas.

EDIT-

Anonymous gave me the right formula:
$/mile would be:
$2.92 / 22 = $0.133/mile, and
$2.52 / 18.5 = $0.136/mile.

  1. You are calculating miles per dollar. So regular unadulterated gas will takes you 0.2 miles more per dollar.

Next time I see it, I will fill up with the unadulterated gas!

  2. If I could get the boozeless gas in the right octane, I'd be running it in my Vette. Alas, they don't seem to stock the 92+ she craves.

    1. Not in Florida, especially South Florida. You can get that in west Louisiana and some sections of Texas.

Or, if you really wanna kill your wallet, at the local civil airport.

    2. 91 octane e0 is available in Iowa and Missouri. In some places if you wanted high octane, you had to skip burning food.
