Some horses have toys

Some even have their favorite ball.

So do some dogs- but not as cool as Joels.

Towards the end, you can see a slightly annoyed Petunia on her branch.

Unsurprisingly I didn't get an answer

There was an article in the Register-Star about an artist opening some kind of performance art center in Hudson, NY (upstate,,,out in the sticks).

Not just any kind of performance art- this is marathon performance art.

The 65-year-old artist said the institute will be part art center, part school, for ephemera performances involving video, opera, film, music, dance and theater in an environment that erases the boundary between artist and viewer as both don white lab coats and interact constantly.

Due to the marathon nature of the works, tired or sleeping visitors reclining on “durational chairs” will be rolled by an attendant to a sleep area and rolled back when they awake,  all the while remaining a part of the performance piece.

Abramovic is famous for pushing the limits of her physical and mental endurance as a way of expanding her inner-most feelings and fears — and sometimes those of her viewers.

In one of her longest duration pieces, during a retrospective of her career at New York’s Museum of Modern Art in 2010, she sat in silence during the hours the museum was open, making eye contact with members of the public who sat across from her

Not only is she going to force the hicks and anyone else who see her ...art to watch the entire boreing thing, but she's going to teach OTHERS how to do the same thing.

The article doesn't say- and I didn't get any replies to the e-mails I sent about four days ago asking---WHO is paying for this?
From the lack of information, I'm going to assume it's us.

That would be a sure-fire win for 0bama

Putting Mike Suckabee in as his Veep choice, like some are talking about.

However, some Republicans believe Huckabee, as Costa put it, “would help energize tea-party conservatives, evangelicals, and related voters who soured on Romney during the GOP primaries.”

“He’s also not a sweat-inducing pick, since he was vetted by the Beltway press during his presidential run four years ago,” Costa noted
.

Umm- NO.
Since we have to settle for the establishment candidate,  get us a real conservative so we can at least pretend that you'll consider fical responsibility in your plans- mK?

So, where is the UN in all this?

First we had the 'Maverick" John McCain wanting to arm AlQueda (2.0.2) in Syria AKA the rebels.

Now we have the war hero of Viet Nam, Thurston Kerry III wanting to supply rebels with arms AND set up safe zones.

The United States needs to do more to protect civilians in Syria, including considering setting up safe zones inside Syria and potentially arming the opposition, Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman John Kerry (D-MA) told The Cable in an interview Tuesday.
Kerry also warned that if the balance of power is not tilted in Syria in the opposition's favor, it's unlikely that President Bashar al-Assad will step down. A political transition that sees Assad removed from power remains the goal, he said, but the United States must step up its efforts to make that goal a reality.

So, we have all these pro-communists and Liberals who want the UN to take control of ...basically everything- Internet, taxing, redistributing wealth, humanitarian issues...

BUT whenever something comes up that the UN should be doing, it's America that steps in and gets things rolling. I'm surethere are other countries doing the UNs job there, but name one off the top of your head.

All the UN can do is pass decrees and sternly worded letters to the civilized countries (who are paying the bulk of the rent) about made-up problems while cow-towing to Islamic extremists and watching countries tear themselves apart with not even being able to yell "STOP IT!"

OMG- Indiana has elected the Black Adder to run as a Republican

SRSLY- compare this Newsmax pic
 with Edmund Black Adders pic

A different point on that circus in Gitmo

The one you've heard about where the terrorists female lawyer demanded that all females be ...bagged.

Cheryl Bormann, a lawyer for Mr. bin Attash, was dressed in an abaya, a loosefitting garment worn by observant Muslim women, leaving only her face exposed, and suggested that women on the prosecution team follow her example. They should dress modestly "so that our clients are not forced to not look at the prosecution for fear of committing a sin under their faith," Ms. Bormann said.

I guess MZZZ. Bormann, that it never occurred to a LIBERAL Attorney- that YOU as part of the .GOV are now advocating throwing out the First Amendment protections of religion, did it?

Remember what it says?

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

So this government agent is trying to force American citizens to observe the religious dress  customs against their will? That a .GOV functionary is trying to force non moslims to dress like them -to go against their own religious beliefs to accommodate a select religion?

first amendment: an overview

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution protects the right to freedom of religion and freedom of expression from government interference. See U.S. Const. amend. I. Freedom of expression consists of the rights to freedom of speech, press, assembly and to petition the government for a redress of grievances, and the implied rights of association and belief. The Supreme Court interprets the extent of the protection afforded to these rights. The First Amendment has been interpreted by the Court as applying to the entire federal government even though it is only expressly applicable to Congress. Furthermore, the Court has interpreted, the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment as protecting the rights in the First Amendment from interference by state governments. See U.S. Const. amend. XIV.
Two clauses in the First Amendment guarantee freedom of religion. The establishment clause prohibits the government from passing legislation to establish an official religion or preferring one religion over another.

Fox. Henhouse.

What is it about Democrats and giving our state secrets away to the enemy?
We all know that China paid Bill Clinton for their (our) rocket science.

I'm sure fellow believer at #Occupy1600PennAve is getting something for letting the ChiComs explore our computer secrets, and *not* enhanced cyber defense.

Balance

Hydrogen floats, too

 So does natural gas..
Apparently they don't believe in using helium in their balloons in Armenia:

Watch the string of white balloons.

The British are NOT amused- Benjamin

Because they still remember back in 1948 when the U.N. gave Israel back to your people- that THEY were the ones who were instrumental in getting the Palestinians (or more accurately historically---the Philistines) to oppose your GOD given right to live in your promised land.

Now you are doing the unthinkable (to western Liberals) and telling your enemies exactly what will happen to them if they try anything stupid.

Because, for Israel it's life and death-for you newsies- it's entertainment, and for you anti-Semite politicians- including 0bama- it's all local politics, and the people of the Arabian peninsula are just numbers that we can distort  like a stretchy from the `80's to fit anything our lapdog MSM wants to make work.

BTW-
Hows that Libya freedom party working out for you, Barry?

Anyone else having slow loading problems?

It's not every site, just some blogs that seem like they're taking forever to load.

I don't know if it's the intratuubz, or something I did to FireFox when I was taking out Ghostery so I could read comments w/o starting Explorer.

Just weird.

Maybe I'll have to uninstall and go to an older version...

UPDATE-
It's loading sooo much faster in FF 8.0.1
I have ghostery and still can't read posts on some blogs unless I turn it off.

That was fast

the results aren't all in yet, but the American socialist is almost as quick to congratulate the French Socialist as he was to disapprove the Constitutional actions of the Honduran government when they exiled their socialist president for subverting their laws.

Brian Terry's relatives still waiting for a call from anyone in this administration..just like the almost 2,000 killed in Afghanistan.

When are we going to hear that this is a mandate?

France elected an outright Socialist today by 51.8% over Sarkozy.

The last time a nation elected a socialist with a 52.9% majority, the press went out of it's way to tell everyone that it was an earthshaking mandate that should never be questioned.

Since I can't find an e-mail

for NavyOne, I'll post this here:

(I don't know if the ad got stripped out or not- so just hit "skip ad")

And a tour of the Captains quarters: With the appropriate uniforms....
This one doesn't deserve an embed because of the PC monkey suit that I'd be embarrassed to wear if I were in the Navy today:
 http://youtu.be/xMuTG08_xAE

And back to tradition:

I haven't seen it on twitter yet

But I only became aware of the newest softball lob by the Democrats this morning.

Are you ready for this? #readytogo

So- when is someone going to post that by the time she was two, @julia would tell her mom that she was #readytogo and not soil her diaper.

Via- the Perfesser (who has an awful monochrome group of supporters in the picture).

And we'll start in new York City

Specifically we'll give beck the land that the U.N. building is sitting on, ok James Anaya?

So, James (what nationality is Anaya?), we'll just up and give the Indians tracts of land and let them go wild?
Do we teach them to hunt? I know you don't want us to build them power plants and water treatment plants, because that would be too...western.

Anaya said that in nearly two weeks of visiting Indian reservations, indigenous communities in Alaska and Hawaii, and Native Americans now living in cities, he encountered people who suffered a history of dispossession of their lands and resources, the breakdown of their societies and "numerous instances of outright brutality, all grounded on racial discrimination".
"It's a racial discrimination that they feel is both systemic and also specific instances of ongoing discrimination that is felt at the individual level," he said.
Anaya said racism extended from the broad relationship between federal or state governments and tribes down to local issues such as education.

"For example, with the treatment of children in schools both by their peers and by teachers as well as the educational system itself; the way native Americans and indigenous peoples are reflected in the school curriculum and teaching," he said.

Two weeks of boondoggle, looking for the worst examples you could find?

If you want an even wider spread and more drastic example of discrimination and dispossession- why not look at all the non-muslims suffering under the thumb of Islam?

Puppy progress

We've got him on a feeding schedule that stops the food at about 4:30 and basically no water after 6 or 7 at night, then he's tied to the front door with a 6' leash.

So far that problem has been fixed.

He's starting to learn that he's supposed to ...something outside, but I still don't trust him where I can't see him.
This morning he peed ON the couch,,, as in he was on the couch and peed on the back cushions. He got his nose rubbed in that warm pee and thrown out the door. (yes, I know it doesn't work- BUT- it made me feel better)

He may have been exited because grand-daughter was over and he hadn't seen her in a week.
He's still dribbling without either of us knowing until I step in cold pee.

The cats are starting to get used to him, except for that puppy exuberance.

UPDATE-
5:12PM

That f*cking pissnozzle just let go right behind me!
So I just got done rubbing his nose in the warm piss and threw him out the door.

Anyone want an untrainable dog?

UPDATE THE SECOND-
7:25PM
That's the fourth time today that little f*cker has pissed in my house, this time it was three feet away from the last time.

Good morning people!

If you think your day is going to kind-of suck-
Try taking care of a monkey in China.

Not that we should be really surprised, because that's what the MSM does to the White House anyway...

UPDATE-
I see that fubared schedule thing got me too.

As I surf the net, I have the TeeWee on as background noise

About the only thing worth having on is the "Top 100 Gadgets that changed the world".

I'm sitting here and trying to (sort-of) ignore the dog leashed to the door-next-to-the-computer-table when I heard that #??? is the laptop, because 50% of all emergency response vehicles in Xxxx are required to be equipped with a wireless laptop.

Um, yeah- and 90% of all First Responders are equipped with smartphones ---with a direct link to You-tube.

42 years ago, the tale of the tape

tells us that the hippies shot first.
Which the Liberal news media twisted for their anti-American purposes into innocent hippies being gunned down in cold blood by the Nat`l Guard.

A couple points about this video

First you'll notice the title of the toob-
Because, you know the cops weren't there for any specific reason except to stir up trouble.

Second-
This is the most violent and vandal friendly of all the (mostly peaceful) Occutard movements.

So feel free to laugh at the rage karma when all of a sudden- private property rights top private property destruction-

H/T Wirecutter.

We all know how much 0bama loves Israel

So with the news that he's deployed a squadron of F-22s to the UAE, does anyone think that they're there for some kind of blocking force against Israel?

That he wouldn't order our pilots to shoot down the Israeli Air Force planes that tried to stop Irans nuke plans?

That is a $2720 sweater?

At least they could have made the sleeves long enough to reach the wrist.
But, then again, I'm no high dollar fashion disaster..

I also know that when you want to reduce the size of something, you don't put white bellbottoms on it.

What does Nancy Pelosi have to say about domestic terrorists?

You know- Anarchists, arsonists, rapists, bridge bombers....

Bloomberg, Mittens? Really?

Conservatives are still questioning you less than stellar concept of less government, individual responsibility, and the Second Amendment.

Do you really think it's a good idea to be cozying up to a(nother) east coast Liberal?

Just curious

How did this latest commi-inspired lockdown work in your town?

From what I hear- there wasn't a whole lot  of attention paid unless they wanted to p1ss off the people thy relied on to help them.

Not that you should try this

This post reminded me of something

The Jawa has a video up about the riots in Madison last year.
Ok, riots are probably too strong of a term for the unions temper tantrum.

All those teachers who closed their schools for the sick-out and got fake Dr. passes from the street-corner quacks...
The ones that I knew would get a pass on any kind or punishment--
What ever happened to them or the people from the U.W. Madison who were being investigated?
Nothing? Yeah, nobody has mentioned them, have they?

Happy May Day

This is painful.
But it's one of those things that you have to go through to fully appreciate the tooles your enemy uses.

And the fact that somehow,,,we're going to have to stop using logic and start with the emotionalism:
