American style-
Got back from Ortho at the VA.
It went from 18 years of "we'll just do PT for that shoulder and it should make it feel better" -to (finally)- "Lets do an MRI on it" last year.
To- "WOW, that biceps tendon is really ganked, we'll do a cotortozone injection to see what happens" -to- "Okay, we'll cut and reattach that tendon" -to- today. "WOW, it looks like we'll need to rebuild that whole rotator cuff".
When I retired from the Army, VA doc said I had permanent knee disability and prescribed a lifetime supply of Ibuprofen. Civilian sports doctors actually took images and diagnosed a totally correctable condition (torn meniscus). The VA is incompetent and should be shut down. Or just turned into a bill paying agency for vets on Blue cross.
ReplyDeleteYou two have described the reason I'll have nothing to do with VA if I can avoid it.
ReplyDelete31 years since retirement and the one thing I asked for help with (hearing aids during the Obama regime) resulted in "We're going to have to means test you."
