For a little background

 The wife's a Brit who's lived in Texas for a good 20 years.

I've been fighting some intestinal thing for the past couple of days- and not eating.

We had to fill two 10 gallon propane tanks at Tractor Supply.  After loading them and securing them in the truck (and waiting for some dickhead who had up parked in) we were on the way home.

I told the wife that I'm sweating like a whore in church.
"A What????"

A whore in church, you've never heard that before?

She's also never heard 

• Telling how the cow ate the cabbage.
• Loose as a boiled onion. He's as slippery as a baked onion.
  
• All hat and no cattle
• Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?
• Crooked as a dogs hind leg
• Better throw some slop to them dogs
