They feed, fire and eject any thing I feed them. They are GI spec, so parts are fairly easy to find for them. As for the customer service, I haven't heard any thing bad about it. They give a life time warranty that goes with the gun. If you want to turn it into a pampered prissy range queen, you do so at the risk of its reliability and utility.

Just my opinion. I carried one as a tanker. Rattled like hell. Would hold 'minute of chest' at 75 meters, though.

MCmostly cajunhttp://mostlycajun.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781672.post-78873867539398968312013-09-30T17:35:54.861-05:002013-09-30T17:35:54.861-05:00It is listed as used, which is fine.

The good news is that it is a real 1911 so you can get better parts from other manufacturers and drop them in, but you probably won't need to.

This particular one looks overpriced. I like RIAs I have had really good luck with them. If you can find one try the Hi Standard 1911 .45 mine was made by RIA and it is every bit as good as a series 80 colt (better I think)--RayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781672.post-59295762942519957282013-09-29T23:38:00.853-05:002013-09-29T23:38:00.853-05:00I've got one given to m as a gift. Maybe not as pretty as the higher priced offerings, but functional quality overall seems to be the consensus. Remington and STI(in the case of the Spartans) both come from the Philippines it basically comes down to how good a quality is ordered by the maker.

Also sometimes loser tolerances(like the original war production Colts) help prevent having a "break-in period"(aka "this gun sucks period") that can plague some higher end 1911s that are trying to squeeze the last sliver of accuracy possible out.Odysseushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16710666926746925370noreply@blogger.com
