Can I call them, or what?

About two weeks ago, I wrote about Google and their habit of sucking up as much personal information as possible.
And their response of ...'but we're Liberals- you can trust us'...

Then I was this headline on Drudge:

Google's Eric Schmidt: You can trust us with your data

Which I was going to make a post about- including 'being the most open and ethical bussiness out here' after I got done making breakfast. (Really, I was. Would I lie to you? Srysly)

Then I started reading the article...

which went all the way to the fourth para for this-- "The difference between the Apple model and the Google model is easy to understand - they're completely different. The Google model is completely open.

And again- " We like our strategy a lot because it's consistent with our values, which are the openness and the open platform and the web platform."

And finally the usual you can trust us in the last para:
Google, Schmidt says, is kept in check by its customers and by the competition: “All of our testing indicates that the vast majority of people are perfectly happy with our policy. And this message is the message that nobody wants to hear so let me say it again: the reality is we make decisions based on what the average user tells us and we do check. And the reason that you should trust us is that if we were to violate that trust people would move immediately to someone else.

REALLY?

Where? Because anywhere I go on AlGores intratubz, I can find a blue "G" somewhere on the site.

He's lying

Captain Kickass is responding to a question at the G-20 forum in a rambling semi-coherent way.

Go listen if you want to hear even more of the Lightweight than you get from the MSM, but here's a money quote for you.

"Somehow people say, why are you doing that, I'm not sure that's good politics. I'm doing it because I said I was going to do it and I think it's the right thing to do. People should learn that lesson about me because next year when I start presenting some very difficult choices to the country, I hope some of these folks who are hollering about deficits and debt step-up because I'm calling their bluff. We'll see how much of that, how much of the political arguments that they're making right now are real and how much of it was just politics."

I won't be holding my breath there Captain Kickass.

He also praised Gates for slashing the military budget more than any other SecDef in recent memory. Probably as far back as Jimmy Carter.

Truth in advertizing?

or just funny as he!!?

Be sure your mouth is empty for that last half.

Oh, bummer

Our last reminder of the Democrats love of diversity has died.
in case you haven't heard yet- Sen. Robt. Byrd (D)- the only Klansman in the entire Congress has died.

UPDATED:

Well at least we'll have billions of Dollars of pure pork heading to W.Va this year.
Maybe that'll help President Kickass start reducing the deficit.

That's a fine example of fast action, Barry

The way you yanked McCrystal out of the 'Stan and fired him within three days of that 'Rolling stone' article.
I know you promised 'change'. and you've given us plenty- mostly the kind that's against what most Americans want.
I can remember all the way back to your predecessor and the support his critics in the military got for talking smack....because it showed their individualism, moral courage and anything else with a positive spin.

Way to go in taking charge of this thing from day one, President KickAss, it was almost like you had lazerlike focus on your self-image as opposed to say...the whole Afghan mission- or an oil spill in the Gulf.

No wonder

I guess I was right in thinking there were more crappy drivers on the road lately.
They're all coming from havens of chitty drivers.

At least there aren't a whole lot landing here from here. Lots of incestual political inbreeding on that map, right there.

Good God!

First of all...
THIS is a St. George flag.
As far as I understand, it's the *official* flag of England.

As opposed to the Union Jack of the United Kingdom.

Now, there is a world-wide game of kickball in S. Africa for all the goodies- or something.

BUT,,, in the place that Great Britain used to be there are bans on showing the English flag in support of their team because patriotism has been deemed 'racist' by the PC police.

Nice country you used to have over there.

I really used to admire you before I started learning just how badly you swallowed that whole Liberal poison, Britannia.

Don't you miss the days

When you made burgers from a tube of e.Coli-burger and the drippings didn't put out the fire?
I guess I'm going to either get the high dollar stuff in Styrofoam, or make another grill out of a propane bottle again- so I can use chunks of oak and mesquite without melting the bottom out.

EX -TERM - IN - ATE!!!!

Why yes, it IS a knitted Dalek.

Meet DUB

I don't know DUB, but I know he's an @sshole.

As you can see, I left a car length and a half between me and his windows. I stopped there because I already was hearing his overly loud, intrusively vile rap shit over my loudish Viva Las Vegas CD.

The reason I *know* he's an asshole is that it was almost 100 degrees outside and he had all his windows down so he could force everyone within 150 feet to hear that vile crap.

I can almost feel sorry for BP

You and I know that sometimes sh1t just happens, no matter what.
When you go to try fixing it, sometimes it makes it worse.

You can understand that, I can understand that- but the worlds smartest negro can't wrap his mind around that concept.

So he goes and shakes down BP for some $20 Billion that were supposed to go to dividends to the elderly and poor in England.

Then they had to sit through days of a kangaroo court in DeeCee with elected self-righteous hypocrites lecturing them (Can we use your lecture against you next time- Sen. Waxman?) on blowing smoke.

Then they're on the hook for $100 Mil for cleanup costs.

BUT, they wouldn't be in this boat if they hadn't shoveled barrels of money into the Obama machine to get him elected in the first place.

I guess my teachers never got that memo

The one that some historians, starting in the late '30s, said that the colonials were horrible shots.

I was always taught that those mere farmers were veterans of the indian wars and used their fire arms to hunt for food, and that their best shots were bent on taking out the officers. Which has been ok'd by this article written by an author at The American rifleman.

It has plenty of interesting info from 'back in the day' where muskets were common and one hit in 50 shots was considered expert marksmanship.

An "Oil recovery Tzar"?

What?
They found some Chicago political hack that they didn't already reward with a Federal job?

UPDATE
Ray Mabus?
My first thought- Boy, he's going to be busy what with running the Dept. of Navy and single handedly fixing the gulf coast.

Then it was -I wonder what he did to deserve that?

$375,000

So bums don't have to be waken up by train horns.

...And that the homeless shelter can house dogs-
Until the quiet zone dustup is resolved, one set of clients will be barred from Haven: canines.

“The vets at our kennels said it would be cruel and inhumane to subject dogs' ears to the trains,” Block said.

So, did anybody listen to President Urkel last night?
If you did, did you believe anything he said?

Monday, June 14, 2010

Dude. There is a reason for the name.

That's why they're called Snapping turtles.
But the onsite expert could have warned him about their abilities.

Here's an obvious question

Since Obama is considered the lightworker and Jesus' little brother- By himself and all the other Obots out there...

WHY hasn't HE just parted the gulf so BP can work to fix the leak on dry land instead of with robots?

I guess we know whose @ss needs kicking now for not doing all he could to plug the hole.

I don't see what the problem is

Really. Because every time the .gov of some kind wants to get more information or reduce privacy even more---all we hear is "If you're not doing anything wrong, you don't have to worry."

Besides, it's GOOGLE that was collecting that WIFI info- not like that evil BusHitler.
I mean if you can't trust a bunch of Liberals with your info,,,,

Besides their company motto is "Don't be evil"- or something profound like that.
Why worry with a company like that?

I got an MRI on my elbow yesterday

Not that I'm going to say much about it, but I kind of used it for a lead-in.

I was driving in to town, and almost got rear-ended three times by the same d1ckhead in the TOYOTA Tundra. He may have thought he's just saving brakes, or something- BUT when you come up on me at speed and decide to hit your brakes 10 feet from me- I tend to get pissed. Especially when you do it at every stop light in Castroville.

Then when I was transitioning from HWY 90 to 410, some beAtch driving behind the wheel of a maroon TOYOTA sedan decided to try taking my front bumper off- because she was tired of yielding the right of way.

And lastly, right before I was going to exit- the @sshole in a gray TOYOTA Forerunner decided he needed to jump right in front of me and hit the brakes.

While I was filling out the forms, I was listening to MSNBC who were all hyped about something happening in S. Africa. They were talking about it on the radio on the way home, too. I got home to a message from Thing 1 all exited because England made a goal- I left it for the only other person remotely interested when she got in from work. When she reminded me that America has a team there too, I told her the ONLY people here who are really interested are Mexicans and Liberals.

Sing it with me...

TROJAN MAN, TROJAN MAAN...

Looks like USC really overstepped their rulebreaking this time and got their football and basketball teams sanctioned.

Minorities and millionaires hit hardest.

If Felipe Calderon really wants to protect his people

Maybe he should keep them on his side of the border.

AND tell them to stop harrasing the Border patrol for doing their jobs.

Then maybe you could do something about the corruption that makes it so easy for drug gangs to flourish.

Hey, maybe you could even let your own citizens own guns to defend themselves against those drug gangs. I hear America has lots going across the border, so they should be pretty cheap.

Somethings missing here

......OH!

Content.
Sorry, after 13 hours of trying to make 12" X14" junction boxes fit into 12" X13" openings in pole bases, my elbow is killing me.

So enjoy a Zoot suit riot:

Maybe I was wrong

And change is really happening.

I mean it used to be that no matter what a Lib said, all they had to do was mouth some non apology apology and they were off the hook, and it was forgotten the next day.

Or, maybe Helen got hung on the petard she used back in Sparta- when it was a super power.

There's a saying in Texas

That beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone.

...And I always thought she had more than a touch of King Davids blood.

Your daily dose of quasi-science

The air we breath is composed of 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and about 0.038% of that deadly greenhouse gas-Carbon Dioxide.

The deadly CO2 is basically produced by respiration and natural causes (geo-thermal eruptions). The deadly CO2 is a natural product that increases with the larger population of living beings...because of breathing air. Which usually occurs AFTER significant global warming.

But what I wanted to post about today is that 78% Nitrogen in air.

I was filling up at a Shell station the other day and saw their newish reason to buy their gas.
It has NITROGEN in it! It's advertised as Nitrogen enriched gas.
My question is, without the O that goes with Nitrous oxide, isn't it just a filler of inert micro-bubbles?

And that billboard in New Braunfels that advertises the $5/tire nitrogen fill, I'll stick to free air since I don't make a habit of heating my tires to NASCAR temperatures.

To the perky twenty-something

Who was driving the white Bimmer SUV with Aggie plates yesterday.

I don't know if you realize that the ONLY reason I let you in while you were still pacing me AFTER your access lane ran out was that I remembered that I had my companie's name and phone number on the door.
Otherwise I'd have let you stay on the shoulder until it ran out.

Different outlooks of different services

I heard this a long time ago, and will try to make it work.

The Navy goes to 'Nam and builds the airstrip, control tower, taxi-ways, fuel dumps and revetments. THEN asks for additional funds for barracks, mess hall and a club.

The Air Force builds the club, the commissary, private room barracks and an Enlisted Dining facility and a stress reduction lounge- then asks for more money to build the airfield infrastructure.

What about their parents Mr Shabazz

It's not like this illegal immigration flap hasn't been going on before some of those kids "hitching themselves to the 60's civil rights movement" were even born.

You know, deep down Mr. Shabazz, that being an illegal today isn't like being black in the segregated south. It's not like there are Democrats having lynching parties by torchlight. It's not like they're being run down with dogs. It's not like they, or their parents can't change things by just going home.

They are illegal immigrants who STILL have all their rights, and if you want to target any states- I suggest having a look at the new Mass. Immigration law that's so much more onerous than Arizona's.

Oh, nevermind- it didn't pass.
..."Rick Gorka, a Baker spokesman, pointed out that the measure seeking to block illegal immigrants from state benefits failed by an unexpectedly close 75-82 vote in the Democratically controlled House.

“Fifty-nine Democrats in the House agree with Charlie Baker that the state should not be giving services to illegal immigrants except in emergency situations and those involving a child,’’ Gorka said in a statement. “Whether it’s in-state tuition breaks or driver’s licenses, Deval Patrick continues to show he’s clueless when it comes to protecting the taxpayer."

No sh!t, lady

Anyone who has the least bit of knowledge concerning evolution should understand this.

Pain is a survival trait. All animals have it, and some plants have a survival reflex, too.
Pain teaches you "Don't do that again" after you touched that skillet your mom kept warning you about.

I don't fish. It's not that I don't like to see a fish "desperately gasping for water" or anything like that. If I catch them, I have to clean them.

When your only tool is a hammer

Yeah, so BP has to try something different because top kill didn't work.

I'm not an oil patch expert, but I'm wondering why they don't try inserting a one-way expandable plug into the hole. You know, something that would catch against the casing wall as it was forced in, and then expanded like a plumbers test plug when it was where they needed it.
Or- when the cut the pipe flush, secure a flexible pipe or hose to it, that way once it's secure they can squeeze it off. That's what we'd do in our natural gas department.
After it's squeezed shut, put a valve on it and pump the oil to the surface.

But like I said, I'm no expert.

What I'm not is a member of the Obama administration who is overly represented by a buttload of lawyers who's ONLY response to anything they don't like is to sue.
"That top kill didn't work- Rham send some lawyers down their to see if any of our millions of conflicting environmental laws were broken."

A good day to you all

Now that Memorial day is over, I can say this.
I had to bite my tongue- figuratively when I saw this at Linoge's place last night.

It really says something when a Brit has more love and appreciation for America than our President.
