It's that time of year again

Where TBS is breaking out all the Christmas standbys.

Right now they have a retrospective of Michelle before she met Barry.

But...If it saves just 'ONE' life...

I thought anything was justified?

Or is it only justified if it imposes the will of the Left?

Now that the .gov is going to be responsible for putting off breast exams for the 40% of women who will have a problem there, and the (koff) unexpected revamping of the PAP smear so it's not *really* needed until much later, it's not worthwhile.
Because the women who will be dead because they didn't get those tests are just statistics.

What's the next recommendation to be pushed back?
Cholesterol tests cost money.

Stress tests cost money.

Insulin costs money- HEY, lets recommend that injections need to be spaced out more.
Yeah, and amputating a leg is much more cost effective than a long term treatment of antibiotics...then you have that costly rehab work.

Time to Lawyer up

Someone with big pockets is going to have to start the process of getting a challenge on this health care bill to the Supreme Court.

It looks like it's the only way this hugely expensive and intrusive expansion of power for unelected, unresponsive and uncaring bureaucrats will be stopped.
The Dems don't care what we think.
The Republicans can't get their chit together enough to block it.

AND the next appointment to the Supreme Court is guaranteed to be a communist, so the last chance we have of stopping it is to get it before the USSC before any other Justices resign (or forced out).

In preperation for Thanksgiving

I came accros this from Arlo Guthrie

My first thought was "I bet they're black"

When I saw this article about Michael Jackson showing up in an ultrasound.

Yeah, I know how racially insensitive of me.
Then I thought I read they were from Sugarland, but it was Southerland.

Personally, I think it looks more like Marlene Dietrich ...

But why 2011?

I hear that Ophra is going to call it quits for her nationalized TeeWee show in 2011.
If she were going to bow out, I figure she'd at least wait until 2012.
That way she could get her mouth breathing minions to help get Barry reelected.

Not that it matters to me. The first time I heard about her after being in Rota for two years back in '87, I knew she was black without even seeing her- because who else would name their kid Okra?

Dude! It's raining here

It's raining so bad that *I* am driving 25 miles below the speed limit.

GET. OFF. MY. BUMPER!.

It's bad enough that I almost got sideswiped this morning by some moron who thinks the zipper is a Hot Wheels track rail, and so he doesn't have to steer.

Or the people who think they're driving on oil- combined with the f*ckwhits driving their F-150s like they just stole them.

Yeah, I saw you almost swerve out of control when you hit that water on HWY 90 behind me.
Tell me, why should I 'not' roll down my window and toss a handful of hex nuts up in the air to get you to f*cking BACK! OFF!

D*ckhead.

So how do you think it went?

Our Unicorn Rider offering the ChiComs his assurances that he'll keep Americas economy from tanking?

I'm just wondering how he looked sitting on a too small three legged stool while the Chairman read him the riot act.

You know it's really bad when COMMUNISTS are telling you how *not* to kill your economy.

I heard that GM only lost $1 billion this quarter

Unlike Ford, who actually made a profit.
And didn't take the Lightworkers Shilling.

Now they say that since they're doing so well financially,,,(as I wait for the laughing to die down),,,
That the'll look at repaying that pesky little ol' loan off before it's due.

Great! Good for you GM. Are you ever going to make right the fact that you let the UAW steel 70% of your investers property?
You know the stockholders who's property you just GAVE to the UAW.

Some things are better as a concept than reality

Take bacon pork sausage.
In spite of the BACON=nom meme going around, this combination reminds me of nothing other than the C-rat meal lovingly known as "Ham and Motherf*ckers"

And speaking of C-rats and the useful things you could do with them:
Stoves, infiltration alarms, digging utensils, defensive projectiles, etc...

How many reading this still have their P-38s?
I still have mine on my keyring along with a WWII through bolt nut that I was standing on about 75' in the air while stripping an old comsta. It still had a guy wire pulling horizontally and was almost rusted through. Naturally I now look to see how well what I'm standing in will hold me.

And if you were using C-rats and didn't have heat tabs or C-4, you could always use the peanut butter to cook with.

How many uses have they developed for MREs? Just wondering.

Who picks out her cloths?

Really.
I mean did they go allout ADA and pick a blind person for Michells wardrobe advisor?

When Iron Chef America went to the white House you can see that the First Wookie made Mario Batali her favorite, that's why she personally picked out his sox and Crocks.

I guess it's good

That we only have a 31" crt TeeWee, or I'd have cr@ppy overly dramatic badly written SyFy movies on an over priced 68" flat screen.
Which would just emphasize how badly I blew that money.

To be fair

I did find a picture of the Boy Wonder with his hand over his heart during the National Anthem.

Really.

Unless it's a photoshop.

Naww, it can't be.

Because it looks like he's trying not to throw up:

I really need to go do things today...

Does anyone know all the hoops to go through for working at the Post Office?
Karens already taken and passed her written tests and now needs to do the background thing and take her driving test...What's next? Mor importantly, how long before we can see a ,gov check?

Anyone have their ESP running today?

I was looking at this ISP since Rock Solid Wireless Internet has a real problem communication with people who want to give them money.

I was looking at Indian Creek's services and clicked this FOR SALE link. Paula, have you sold it yet?

As far as Rock Solid Wireless DSL out of Hondo and Castroville, If you look yourselves up on the internet I'll tell you what I asked Gelli (your receptionist) yesterday about noon. I'm the one you came out to Creekwood for. The one with the green gate and three dogs at the bottom of the water tower- remember? I asked her if I could get some information on how precisely your antenna had to be aimed, as I could use a 35' light pole from work. That would put it as high as the roofmount antenna just up the road.
I gave her my cell number and she said she'd pass it on. If you read this today you might be able to retrieve it from the trash- if she even bothered to write it down.
Also- when you reschedule an appointment, it would be nice to let the people who want to give you money *know* that you're not coming that day.

My son-in-law

Is a Marine.

I feel sorry for him that his Commander-in-Chief is this guy:

I really hope His dithering and ....dismissiveness to the Military won't get them killed or maimed- and that SiL comes back whole.

"And he kicks a high hanging punt..."

Instead of grabbing the ball and running with it, our Unicorn Rider votes "present" in A-stan...again.

Because his political appointee in the Afghan post in the Dept. of State doesn't like that evil military any more than the boy president.

That stance comes in the midst of forceful reservations about a possible troop buildup from the U.S. ambassador in Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry, according to a second top administration official.

In strongly worded classified cables to Washington, Eikenberry said he had misgivings about sending in new troops while there are still so many questions about the leadership of Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

Because nothing props up a fledgling government like uncommitted allies.

Oh,,,BTW, how is your 'Cash for Talibans" working there oh wonderworker?

Arlington

The First couple.
Presented without comment:

.

.

.

Ok, I can't NOT comment...what's with the big leather and couch covers?
I mean she has more people than several *real* Queens of recent memory that I can think of...

UPDATE...just now
WOW, check out the new prototype ergonamicly enhanced jackboots on the First Grinch!
Next seen on purpleshirted SEIU thugs in a protest near you!

UPDATE part dos...
I see that they make the VP and his wife carry their own umbrella instead of using some high ranking Line Officer.

Angela Merkel

I was going to write about her Congressional appearance, but other things happened.
Something that the Dems used as a diversion while they passed a hugely Socialistic invasion of Americans privacy.
But that's another post.

Angela Merkel grew up in Communist East Germany. She knows what it's like to live under a repressive system run by unelected, unresponsive and uncaring bureaucrats.

So WHY is she trying to reinstate it under a "Global warming climate change" head fake?
She's German, and Germans have a reputation for being thorough. How can anyone without a vested interest in making HUGE cash or empowering those who want to impose their will over an entire populace not see the real facts? especially if they do more than drop open any science book.

The D.C. sniper

The cowardly John Mohammad is scheduled for a nice peaceful fadout to black todasy.

Unlike his victoms who had no time to prepare for their painful deaths.

Rot in hell Muzzi-boy. we should send your pal Malice with you.

Anybody have their name on a Google site?

I mean anywhere where you logged in at least once?

G-mail?
Blogger?
Google?
i-google?
G-chat? (ok, I made that up- maybe...)
Google reader?
Chit- they're probably in Pay-pal and E-Bay too.
G-documents?
Links?

Any of their many -and growing- tentacles on these here intratubes?

I found out by accident at my DISHinternet account that as long as I'm logged in on at least ONE account- that Google was tracking EVERYTHING any computer on my ISP went online for.

From porn, to my bank to wedding cake sites.

You might want to go here and try turning off your web history.
Not that it's going to matter if some high ranking Lib wants to do you dirty, but it might give you some peace of mind that mom or daughter won't stumble on your clown porn searches.

An hours drive to work

And I had to leave with only half an hours' worth of coffee in my cup this morning.

How does that Monday sound? Then we got sent home at lunch because it was too wet to work. Now I'm waiting on 5PM to see if we'll be working tomorrow.

How was your Monday?

Voting 'present' again

Kennedy said "Ich bien eine Berliner."

Reagan said "Mr. Gorbachav, tear down this wall."

Even Dhimmy Carter called the DDR a "wasteland of human spirit."

At the ceremonies commemoration the 20th anniversary of the falling of the Berlin wall- our Lightweight isn't even going to show up. He's going to send Madam pantsuit, because unlike something important like shilling for the Olympics, or picking up a CrackerJack prize in Oslo- he's getting ready for his BIG trip to meet the head ChiCom.

I can unfortunately understand where his priorities lie.

The Harpies of the shore

Want to silence the Eagle of the Sea to paraphrase Oliver Wendell Holmes.

These Baahstuhhnn Yankee Yuppies want the cannon salutes to the morning and evening colors stopped because it 'bothers' them.
That is a Naval tradition that goes back to before America was even a colony under Britain.

Ay, tear her tattered ensign down!
Long has it waved on high,
And many an eye has danced to see
That banner in the sky;
Beneath it rung the battle shout,
And burst the cannon’s roar; —
The meteor of the ocean air
Shall sweep the clouds no more.

Her deck, once red with heroes’ blood,
Where knelt the vanquished foe,
When winds were hurrying o’er the flood,
And waves were white below,
No more shall feel the victor’s tread,
Or know the conquered knee; —
The harpies of the shore shall pluck
The eagle of the sea!

Oh, better that her shattered hulk
Should sink beneath the wave;
Her thunders shook the mighty deep,
And there should be her grave;
Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail,
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

Oh, and they're complaining that it's also bothersome to hear the Star Spangled Banner daily....because it's 'too loud'.

I wonder how they feel about all that ghetto crap that drowns out all the noise that ship could possibly make on a continuing basis?
You know, that gawdawful thumping you can hear a mile away.

Don't you just hate it

When you're surfing along and all of a sudden you get this

SECURITY ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOUR COMPUTER JUST GOT INFECTED BY A ZOMYGAWD HUGELY DANGEROUS INFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!

Then a box comes up from globalsecurityalert.inc.com that says
TO PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER CLICK YES!!!!!

No- you can't close out click YESSsss NOW!!!!!!!----or your computer will BLOW UP!!!!

Click YES or reboot your computer to get rid of me!

So now I've lost my train of thought and am running ClamWin to see if it finds anything else besides SuperGranny3 (trojan) in my drive D/:

The suicide roll

I let this flatbed onto the highway yesterday morning. (Yes, I'm not that big of an @sshole that I don't help drivers out)
I saw the only thing he had securing those rolls of steel wire was his 4" straps.
If everything goes well, that's probably enough.
I also noticed that he didn't have anything on his bed to stop them from rolling, to act as chocks.

The reason they call it a suicide roll is that in a collision, the momentum will roll those things right into the cab.
I'm a bit on the anal side of the safety question, so I would have had double chains on the front and back rolls plus my 4x4's chocking the front, back and middle rolls too.

Just a reminder to you all, look at the guy in front of you to see what might fall off and slow down or get in front if you don't like what you see.

6:50 AM

No matter what time I leave the house, it always seems that I get to the gate at work within a minute of 6:50.
I could leave at 5:30 and probably get stuck behind two turtles from Castroville to loop 410.
Then, of course I'd have some d*ckhead riding my bumper expecting me to push them out of my way for him to get through.
I can leave at 6 AM and traffic will be running fine and I hear Rush's morning update as I've just passes BAMC.

Remember remember the fifth of November

Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot...

Today is Guy Fawkes Day in England.
They used to celebrate his capture along with the 36 barrels of gunpowder he and his conspirators were going to use to blow up Parliament.

They still do, but they used to have great parties, kind of like our Independence Day.
They celebrated with fireworks and huge bonfires, also known as Bonfire night.

You notice I keep saying 'used to' because the nanny state has this year banned the celebratory fires because of 'safety concerns' BUT.... they suggest that a DVD movie o a bonfire shown on an outside wall would capture the wonderful feeling of solidarity, well being, warmth and noise.

England, it's painfull to watch your collapse into ....whatever you're turning into.

I didn't vote today

I got off early and headed straight to the polling place in Hondo.
When I got there, they asked for my DL since I left my voter card at home.
Then they couldn't find my name in the roster. WHAT?
They went to check their voter rolls and came back to tell me I lived in pct. 6 and had to go to Castroville because I lived at a point at the very end of it.

Dude, I'm NOT driving another 20 miles out of my way for a constitutional vote. Sorry.

And I stopped at Wally-world for some beer. I'm also NOT going to pay almost $5 for a six pack of Busch beer at Wal-mart. I'll buy the $10 box of wine, yep -it was a very good week.

Rule 4

Always know where your round will go if it doesn't hit your target.

It applies to pumpkin cannons, too.

You know,,,,being college engineering students- you'd think they'd have at least done some calculations on air pressure x air volume x the weight of their projectile to maybe get some general ballistic information. If not actually TRYING it first.

Just saying as a non-grad.

Hitting it big on E-bay

I was just surfing through E-bay, looking to see if there was anything selling that I was interested in making.

All these bidders with the handles like n**h, or j**w, and the ever inventive m**3 are jumping on a small group of sellers and ignoring the same products at a better price.

I've never had a legit bid from someone with a double astrisk in their name.
Most kind of reflect their interests...motrrhed, sunnylacer, gingersnap...

You don't think someone might be going against E-bay policy and bidding up their own auction, do you???

I've been an @sshole before and bid on stuff I wasn't interested in buying just to make Usuk and c'mstain pay more because I didn't like the handle.....
