It looks like it works

And only cost what I had in landscape timber and screws.






I pushed all the wasted hay from about five $60 round bales into a pile that would probably make an entire new round bale and a half.

Hopefully they won't waste as much and take longer to eat these square bales.

  1. Howdy, just roaming through the interwebs and found your site. I live in Killeen, home of the great place. I see that you are trying to save some hay by feeding it in a trough. Just last year I saw a farm show on RFD TV in which some guy invented a bucket with holes in the cover for feeding hay to horses. He showed that horses eat by nibbling and then clipping grass with their mouths. His invention forced the horses to simulate that activity with the bucket. Looks like your invention is similar. Well hopefully, the animals won't be wasting as much.
