After that wind storm two weeks ago- (it's been that long since I posted?)

These are just the thing to take care of the only two things I'm worried about weather-wize Wild fire and wind storm.
All I need is a welder and cutting torch and no worries about structural integrity.
Plus it's weathertight as soon as it's here.............

  1. That's a pretty cool idea.

    1. It would help with the insurance if I could get a real Engineer to sign-off on it,,,,,,,

    2. If only I was a) a real PE and b) not a civil with a focus on dams...

    3. and c) licensed in Texas, probably wouldn't hurt.

  2. You shouldn't have to worry about fire. Wind borne sparks wouldn't even singe.

There's a foam for metal roofs. It's sprayed on and different colors are available.

We sprayed the roof of our office a few years ago. According to the boss, the cost savings on energy will wash out the cost for the application.

  3. Cool! Great idea there. I'll have to share this with my colleagues and clients. Something we can get inspiration from since we are building new offices. Thank you for sharing.
