The value of a fundamental education

is so that you can see through, and laugh at the obvious attention whoring that is the father of 'The Balloon Boy.'
I don't know if he's really that ignorant, or just pulling numbers out of his @ss, because frankly- I couldn't stand to watch the whole train wreck of scientific ignorance.

Really. I shut it off when I learned that the balloon was held up by "one million volts of electricity" which holds up a cloud that has the equivalent of three cubic feet of water that weighs .... 1700 pounds.

Ok now, enjoy the science that comes for your public schools.

And I bet he brings in a million dollars of .GOV money for future transportation needs.

I don't know how to categorize this

I'm looking at the back of an envelope from the Treasury Dept.- specifically the IRS, which happens to be lead by a seven year long tax dodger.

But, the back of this envelope sent by the administration who has tripled our national debt in the first two years of their reign.
And wants to spend even more money we don't have...

Is telling me to:

Yes Timmy, I actually DO know how to manage my money...when I have enough to make it stretch to pay my bills.

Unfortunately, I don't have printing presses that can deforest entire stands of old growth timber to print trillions of even more and more worthless dollars.

They are your people, Democrats

Own it.
That's what fifty years worth of social engineering gets you when you tell people how special they are and that they get different treatment because of the color of their skin.

Then you make excuse, after excuse and completely remove any social stigmas against promiscuity and amoral behavior. You reward laziness and illiteracy and encourage blacks to stay on your plantation by demonizing any that dare to try to live the American dream, or even to have the audacity to make something of themselves by NOT using your social engineering for a free ride.

It's made out of people!

Pepsi is making flavor enhancers out of PEOPLE!

Well, actually the politically correct term is nonviable tissue masses.

but, then why should anyone object to making flavor enhancers out of the kidneys of an aborted fetus? I mean it's not like there was some limited supply, or anything...

I see your Stevie

Mnr:

And raise you a video with Stevie on the baton:

Yeah,,,and it's till a classic.

That's my school district they're talking about

And both of the recent grads say basically "screw him, let him stay away.'

Because he and his parents are trying to stop a 50 year tradition of south central Texas- in the student lead invocation at their graduation ceremony.

The suit was filed on behalf of Christa and Danny Schultz, who have two children in the Medina Valley Independent School District, including one graduating on June 4, according to the San Antonio Express.

The group wants the school district to remove a student-led invocation and benediction, but the school district says that the remarks do not violate any laws or school policy, according to the Express.

"Public schools can't require students to take part in religious worship as the price of attending their graduation. This is settled law, and the district needs to stop resisting it," the Rev. Barry Lynn, the group's executive director, told the paper.

The article doesn't say which socialist state they emigrated from, because we know- this isn't Austin.
Which means they're not from Texas.

And if you were from Texas you'd know that there are no Saguaro in Texas.

Does anyone notice distractions on websites?

I try not to look at ads and shiny, glitzy things when I'm reading things.
I don't pay much attention to commercials on radio or TeeWee either.

I was looking for an old e-mail and was looking in the dashboard for options when I saw this, in recycling tips (in the grey strip).

I know Google tracks my browser habits, but what kind do you think they have for readers of the Daily Krotch and the DU?

Lets guess who they voted for-

Young (mostly).
Lack of foresight.
Stupid.

Yep, they have to be 0bama voters.

....And, yes- I did laugh at some of them.

What is wrong with just respecting Memorial Day?

The Community Organizer in Chief stopped by Arlington on the way to the golf course and mouthed some meaningless platitudes about the people who died so he could end up where he is.

Then he decided that Memorial Day wasn't good enough and declared it to be a day of prayer, because it's not good enough if it can't be made about Him, somehow.

.....Now where have I seen that salute before?

Nahh.......Benny was a Squaddie....
Where have I seen such a sloppy salute in the media....

Hummmm...
Oh YEAH!
The Naval hero Thurston Kerry III

He was in Nam, ya know.

Weekly poll- The Sarah Show

No- I'm not talking about that Liberal semi-cute Jewish comedienne in Hollywood.
I'm talking about 'HER", and the fact that we can joyfully watch Liberals heads explode all week like she was Slim Whitman singing to the Martians.

pollcode.com free polls
Will Sarah Palin run?
Yes- she'll be our Republican nominee
No- she won't get on the ballot
No- she'll be backing the candidate she thinks is best for America
No- she'll be out there laughing at Liberals wetting their pants about her maybe getting in.

The Newton poll- results

Our last poll broke pretty much into two camps again with 44 votes, the major vote getter being
  • Newt will never quit 21 votes @ 48%
  • when it dawns on him being a laughing stock 18 votes @41%
Now, I didn't say anything when I saw that last getting votes to see where it went- but you people need to remember that our boy Newt is a compleat political animal and cannot see just how stupid his actions are to normal people. He'd never see himself as anything less than some minor god.

The other results were:
  • After his money runs out (which I see as the most likely) 5 votes @ 11%
  • Next time he puts his foot in 0 votes
At least we didn't have any smart-@sses trying to be funny like last time (not that I care since this is as scientific as the PPP polls are)
You can see it here and still vote- but it won't count.

Well, that's the kiss of death

Sorry Sarah, but if the 'maverick' John McCain endorsed you it's over before it starts.
I like you and would vote for you because you're real.

Plus I love to watch Liberals heads explode whenever they hear your name.
But having the guy Who inadvertently started the whole hat train rolling and talked more respectfully about a complete Marxist than he did you, is...... not helpful.

I think Sarah might have a chance to make it onto the ticket, but as much shit as she has from everyone in the media- including unfunny, very tall female comedians who put lies in her mouth, she just won't crack the undecided (non-political) vote.

So we have to go with probably a relative unknown and not let the Liberal media pick our nominee.

Sorry Rudy, Mitt- you both lost to our head loser last time, you proved how bad you were so just leave some money in the election fund on the way out.

K? TnX-Bai.

I know it's a day of remembrance

But here is something to lighten your day from Brits who love America more than the president.

Look! Book-ends

and a recycled slogan to boot!

Prosperity is just around the corner!

Ok you newsies

Quit picking on MEchelle, it's taking a toll.

The turnover, greater than under recent first ladies, underscores the pressure and high expectations of working in an operation known for its polish and discipline. A crucial political asset to her husband and his administration, Obama has enjoyed consistently high job approval ratings because of charm, activism — and by avoiding mistakes and controversy.

BWAHAHAHA..........oh, sorry this is serious.

“She is, if possible, under more scrutiny than even other modern first ladies, being the first African-American first lady,” said Katherine Jellison, a history professor at Ohio University who specializes in first ladies. “She also represents a new generation, really the first post-boomer generation of first lady.”

Sources familiar with the East Wing, who asked not to be named discussing internal dynamics, described the first lady’s office as a challenging workplace, where grueling hours and the expectations of a formidable boss intensify the demands of managing a popular first lady’s schedule, image and agenda.

So girls, did you bring your own knee pads, or just lie on your back on the table with your mouth open?

How cloying can you get AP?

F*cking. Just. Gage. Me. With a. Tire spoon.

The 'Healer-in-chief'- Krist

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is pivoting from diplomacy on the world stage to the intimate and delicate domestic task of acting as healer-in-chief to a devastated community.

~snip~

It's a role Obama has had to assume with increasing frequency of late, after the mass shooting in Arizona in January in which Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was injured, when tornadoes struck Tuscaloosa, Ala., last month and more recently when flooding from the Mississippi inundated parts of Memphis, Tenn.

Such moments can help define a president, but habitually even-tempered Obama is more apt to offer handshakes and hugs than tears and deep emotion.

Though times of trouble can erase politics and unite people, a phenomenon Obama has commented on, his task as healer Sunday will be carried out on unfriendly political ground as his re-election campaign approaches

Yeah, what's up with that?
I thought that when Gawds-other-son arose to the presidency all that bad stuff was supposed to stop. He told us Himself.

BTTW, Mr. Bi-partsan 'Healer-in-Chief'- are you going to take the target off our backs down here in Texas any time soon?

-And thanks for all the help with our millions of acres worth of wild fires.

Off to the memory hole

with Anthony Wieners wiener- and the co-ed he was having some kind of private tweetary with.

And I notice that the Liberals at Google are willing partners in the disappearing of Gennette Nicole Cordova from their internet spanning search archives.
Since if you now Google "Gennette Nicole Cordova" you get 60 results- all beginning last night and from conservative bloggers.

If you look for the completely innocent of anything amoral tweet-name of "Gennette Nicole" you get 661- none older than May 28 2011.
-And almost all from conservative bloggers.

It's almost like someone is covering for their fellow amoral Liberal brother in arms...

From the people who dare you to question their patriotism

Happy Memorial Day from the Left.

Just wondering

If blackie-O is such a fashion trendsetter and all, why don't we see the fawning newsies wearing boobie belts and sweaters they pulled off of kindergartners?
Not to mention those recycled sofa covers she likes to wear...

I mean, really Someone is getting big bucks to dress her so we're not embarrassed by what she wears- right?
Another example of .GOV waste.

But, ya know,,,I really should cut her some slack about those sweaters, because it's got to be chilly when you shave off all that hair you were born with.

Will. You . Stop. That! She said

Why?

Because he doesn't like you stepping on his tail.

Yes he does.

How do you figure that?

Because if he didn't, he'd leave when my foot got close to his tail.

So we've got another loser thinking about running

So all we have is another retread who couldn't even get nominated over a complete RINO, who lost to an empty suit.

Sarah is doing her part by causing Liberal heads to explode every time her name is brought up. Which I love to watch.
But although I'd vote for her, I don't think she's got a chance with the entire media assault on her and her family and a certain very tall liberal female 'comedienne' putting lies into her mouth.

So far the only names I'd think about voting for are Cain, Bolton, Thad Mc Cotter and maybe Bachman.
BUT- the country club, go-along ruling class Republican mainstream will fight any one of them from getting the nomination. So they're going to force us to vote for their warm spit candidate or the third party....

This should be fun to watch

Sorry to Bushwack and the conservative bloggers out there in the Peoples Democratic Republic of California.
But according to the Sacramento Bee, there is going to be a complete Democrat takeover of the entire government.

The Democratic governor plans to present a revised budget plan this morning. But as his negotiations with Republican lawmakers drag on – Brown needs two Republican votes in each house to put tax extensions on a ballot – frustrated Democrats are increasingly looking to 2012.

“It’s absolutely clear the only permanent solution for California’s problems is to elect a two-thirds majority of Democrats in each house of the Legislature,” Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez, D-Los Angeles, told delegates at the recent California Democratic Party convention. “That work must begin today.”

For Democrats, the circumstances are encouraging. Though the commission redrawing legislative districts is likely to shift some seats from coastal to more conservative inland areas, Republicans continue to have difficulty capturing a minority population that is growing statewide. Republican voter registration has declined so precipitously that the party, while maintaining a registration advantage over Democrats in some counties, no longer holds a majority in any.

There are two reasons for that. First most of the job producing go-getters are leaving Kali, and the second is that all those illegals that they let vote.

Now, all we have to do is sit back and watch them tax themselves out of existence.
Of course- somehow the entire United States will end up bailing them out with absolutely NO requirements for financial responsibility.

Just like GM.

I'm not really worried about Thing-2 and grand-Thing 2.5 because they're safely behind a security fenced Camp Pendelton.

Bush, and all the rest, we've got work in Texas...
Just try not to drive like too much of an @sshole.

UPDATE---

Oh look, Kalifornia is already trying to outlaw Independence Day.

That's a $2,000 dress?

You've got to be sh1tting me.

It looks like she mugged some homeless woman for it, except for the whole silk looking mini-sweater...or whatever it is.

For all you would-be BBQ grill makers

Here's a quick PSA about how NOT to blow yourself up when torching a bottle or barrel.

Fill it with water BEFORE you make the first cut. That forces the flammable fumes out- and if there are any burnables left, they'll just burn instead of exploding.

Now I want to get a 40# gas cylinder and cut it into a grill to replace the old one.
Too bad I don't have a torch available right now.

I guess we could blame BP for sea turtle death

But not directly from their spill in the gulf last summer.
And the botched aftermath of the most eco-friendly administration America has ever seen.

There are/were an elevated number of the endangered Kemps-Riley sea turtle along the upper gulf coast and NOAA says it's not because of BP.

They blame shrimpers.
I lived on the gulf coast and know how much shrimp are lost from TEDs -which isn't a very small number, but how disliked they are because of the intrusive .GOV that enforces that rule.

I also know how easy it is to tie them shut and get that many more shrimp per pull.
What better way to cover your tracks than to disable a TED during a oil spill?

I thought even the MSM go tired

of lying about the fasion sense of MEchelle sometime last year?
But NOooooo, Yahoo found someone who's taste in fugly clothes are worse than Blackie-O's.
She's (it has to be a woman because gays have a better fashion sense than this) drooling all over the front of her dress over boobie belts, grandmas old sofa cover, stewardess uniforms and those stoopid mini sweaters the worst lady like to steal from Kindergartners.

Thank you!
I'll be here all week.

As the 0bama tongue bath continues

in the British tabloids.
We could rephrase part of a headline to say ...'a rather poorly placed photographer.'

Not to mention the flat-out misrepresentation right in front of our eyes-

The copy reads:

Gag. Me.
You just know they're laughing about how they're getting over on whitey and can hardly hold back a fist-bump.

Just saying,,,

Almost missed it...

if you have any question--- the answer is always 42.

Happy "Towel Day."

Well, Laura Ingraham is in good company

It seems like the almost listened to host of Air America The Special Ed Show...
or something like that mentioned the way Right wing rock star Laura Ingraham was talking about his Chicago Jeezus.
Sgt. Schultz decided to call her-
this right-wing slut, what’s her name?, Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she’s a talk slut. You see, she was, back in the day, praising President Reagan when he was drinking a beer overseas.

Right Schultzie, what kind of natural disasters were ongoing while he was hoisting a few? Not to say that if Bush wasn't in the middle of those hurricanes natural disasters personally, you'd be giving him anywhere near the slack that president Gutzycall is getting.

But anyway, maybe in 2012 Laura and Sarah can team up and sell book-end tees?

Stay klassy out their in Liberal-land!

Her Name

Is Malori Wampler.

She came to out attention because she got herself fired as a Colts cheerleader for some nekkid pix floating around. The reason she's been searched for so much is that those pics are now in the news because after she got fired she decided to sue the Colts for racial discrimination.

Drear God,,,

It's Obama, not Oklahoma.
Just wanted to clear that up.

Do you think he was born with such a lack of awareness, or he had to work on substituting real life for his version?

President Obama has joked that a musical mistake during his toast to the Queen was "like a soundtrack" to his speech.

The US president lightheartedly told Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg that he thought it added a film-like crescendo to his words.

Yeah- it's all about ME!

Thanks Tam.

Credit where credit is due

I have to give it to O'Bama, he can wield a good ping pong paddle. He's a lot better than Cameron.

School's out right?

That's why there's no class in this video uploaded by an 0bamabot:

I guess we shouldn't be surprised. He doesn't respect OUR national anthem, why should he pay any attention to the British one?

So, did we get any pictures of MEchelle slapping the Queen on her back this time?

Before they went to Westminster Abbey and tried to rewrite history...

Someone's head just exploded

When they saw this old post.

Look at this-

Cool, huh?
That's Mercury.

you get what you pay for

In the fact that I can't go in the front door of blogger to do a post.
I had to open my g-mail account and come in from the garage door.

It was that way for both FireFox and Explorer, so I guess it's something on the blogger side.
I couldn't leave a message at Deadmans dance either.

What about O'Bama and Cameron comparing themselves to Thatcher and Reagan and the Berlin Wall?

More like Abbot and Costello with the Rodney King riots thrown in.

There was a lot of tongue wagging about Herman Cain not knowing the term "Right of Return" and how he wasn't worthy or running in such circles as Newt the battle-tested armor who withstood clips being unloaded at him by sheep...or something.

But then he put himself a notch higher by actually admitting it, and admitting that he wasn't the smartest negro in the world.
I like to know people who learn from their mistakes, that means they won't do it again and take steps to avoid similar.

Weekly poll- Newton

Until something better catches my interest:

When will Newt Gingrich bow out?
Never, he's the Energizer Bunny of the established, entitled political class.

When it dawns on him that he's becoming a laughing stock.

So THAT'S why we can't get a budget passed

I kind of suspected it, but had it confirmed at The Daily Gator.

It looks like fun, so I'm going to join the Libs in some (possibly) undeserved name calling.
As we look at this pull quote here:

“What kind of culture leads one to do that? Sadly, it is a culture infused with resentment and hatred,” said Cantor, one of just two Jewish Republicans in Congress. “It is this culture that underlies the Palestinians’ and the broader Arab world’s refusal to accept Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state."

Ok, he's even MORE of a minority than the half black president Race-card.

Now we know that the Democrats won't approve ANYTHING designed by a JEW! They're complete Anti-Semites, and want to turn Paul Ryan over to the Palestinians.
They'll never work on a budget that might help A JEW!

Their entire base hates JEWS, that's why they want to drown Israel in arabs- so they can have the Final-final Solution.
This time without benefit of the showers.
Straight from the camps to the ovens.

For the krist sake....

You know they had to include "vehicle" in the title, so we wouldn't automatically think of MEchelle.

Knowing about some of those tiny, twisty narrow English roads- I was kind of wondering if they'd try using the Obamanator in Ireland.
I guess he's too important to use anything else. And being who he is, his admirers in the SecServ would probably want Ireland to cut down all their hedgerows for security, too.

That wasn't on my last weekly poll

That Mayor Rahm would order departments to cut 10% of their personnel costs.

CHICAGO (CBS) – Making good on a campaign promise to cut the city budget, Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Tuesday outlined a plan to save $75 million in 2011 through a series of salary cuts for senior managers and other cost-saving measures.

“I don’t want time wasted to get there,” Emanuel said. “If everyone will give a little, no one will have to give too much.” CBS 2′s Jay Levine reports.

Which was completely unexpected coming from the guy who probably never mentioned that idea to his fellow Chicago goon- Barry.

But the results of my poll may still come through which are as of this writing:
  • A White House Bailout- 19 votes @41%
  • Lean on the Unions- with one joker voting on that one
  • Blame the Republicans- 12 @26%
  • Raise taxes- 14 @ 30%
You can still vote here, but it won't count.

About those old Israeli borders...

The smartest negro in the history of the world might want to read this Cliffs Notes version of the Jewish state............

NAHHhhh- that might throw some actual facts into the narrative.
And make the Brits out to be anti-Israel- which they were.

Hey, Mr. Columbia grad, if we're going to turn back history to get your final, magical borders, lets use some ACTUAL borders and then maybe we can find a place for those Philistines(you'll see in a moment) to go.

We could go back to the original country and work on boundaries there.
Oh look! Those people on the Med side of Israel are ALREADY home! Except now it's called Gaza.

But I don't see anywhere called Palestine...Hmmmm?

Ok, lets jump forward about 2,000 years...
You know- I only found this map after NOT being able to Google a map of 1850 Palestine.
I had to search for 1850 Israel.

Well we still have the Philistines there, but no Palies...
And still in Gaza, too.

I wonder where and when we got the idea that the Palestinian people ever HAD a homeland?

Ohhh...Palies are what we'd consider Jordanians today, if the entire world wasn't lined up as a block of Anti-Semites.
So those displaced people of the Trans Jordanian British Mandate DO have an available homeland.

It's almost like someone was using them for willing pawns....

...And in more news that wouldn't be a surprise

if you had the same ability to reason as a common house plant- Egypt is falling apart. One of the masterminds of the 'democratic' uprising is now complaining of lack of tourists (really!), social breakdown and money problems.

“Right now, socially, we are disintegrating,” ElBaradei said on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” scheduled to air Sunday. “Economically we are not in the best state. Politically it’s -- it’s like a black hole. We do not know where we are heading.”

~snip~
“People do not feel secure,” ElBaradei said. “They are buying guns” to protect themselves, he said.

ElBaradei said he wasn’t sure when a presidential race could begin because there aren’t any laws that outline “how to run a campaign, how you raise funds” or when candidates can become official.

“What kind of state or regime we are going to have?” ElBaradei asked. “Is it a presidential system? Is it a parliamentary system? When are we going to have a new constitution?”

He also expressed concern about the influence of the Islamic group the Muslim Brotherhood, which has had longer to organize than other nascent political contenders. ElBaradei said the election may slip to next year given the uncertainty.

But..........the most astute administration we've ever seen in this country TOLD us we had nothing to fear from the MB. That anyone who worried about them taking over were just right-wing wackos.

That all of these Mid-east riots are all about 'democracy'...because 'the people' (who are lucky if they have a third grade education) want to be able to vote and be free! (cue the sound of doves in the background)

I understand making a point

But Mr. "America's Inspector" or whatever you're called on the History channels latest scare-everyone-into-watching show.

He's in Detroit now. He's making noise about how can America let Detroit's FD work with such inadequate equipment? Because some neighborhood caught on fire and burned some 80 abandoned houses because of a downed power line.

I'm an electrician. I have been a lineman, so I spotted that 4-pair phone line he was holding up and telling the TeeWee that "THIS was the line that started the fire."

DUDE- bullshit.

I figured when I first saw your previews that you were going to go to the worst places you could find (Detroit's infrastructure- check) and put the worst spin you could find- and now you're lying on top of it all.

Newt Gingrich's releases another statement

on the Paul Ryan kerflufle that wasn't ,,,really about Paul Ryan:

Remember last week when Hillary said this:

Clinton said Tuesday that she and Obama often marvel over foreign despots who want to stay in power for decades.

She told a State Department forum that neither she nor Obama can understand leaders who refuse to transfer power and cling to office for 10, 20, 30 or 40 years.

Looks like president Kickazz is going to take his pet wookie over to the UK so she can manhandle the Queen again.

This time he's going to see how many countries and NGOs he can get together to force Israel to commit suicide by going back to their 1967 lines.
Which are not, and never were borders- Mr. Columbia University Grad. They were the negotiated cease-fire lines that stopped Israel from kicking your buddy Arabs asses all the way back to their capitals.

I was going to fisk that fawning AP article, but there is just too much different Barbra Streisand for me to make anywhere near a comprhensive post about.

What ever happened to plug-N-play?

I'm having some problems with my eathernet connection on the new laptop.
The socket is *VERY* finicky about exactly HOW the plug is sitting in the socket. I got tired of jiggling and lifting to get it just right- and bought a Belkin 150 wireless router.

I I transferred the connections over like it said, and then plugged it in.
I put the installation CD in and started,,,sort of.

Because it couldn't get the router to start, and it couldn't get the router to start, then to show how much problems they already had getting the router to start, I started seeing things like 'sometimes these things take longer than others' and "Hmmm, it looks like a stubborn one here' and 'this is really stuck isn't it' and 'lets try doing the whole unplugging and replugging again ' until it FINALLY kicked in and it asked me for everything I don't know -and can't get because my landline is VOIP.

Now I need to call the cable Co. for ISP, ports dsns, znd I don't know what else when I bring the replacement home.

AND somehow it changed the DNS in the main computer that Win7 won't let me get to...AND my phone says it's not registered..............with the old router.

Krist!

Uninstalled everything and used the main computer for boot driver, ran and re-ran and finished by re-running the connection diagnostics and finally things are working again.

I'm kind of infatuated by the TARDIS in human form

In last weeks episode of "The Doctors Wife" we meet the soul of the the TARDIS, who bears a striking resemblance (to me) to a dark haired Madeline Kahn.

Oh, her real name is Suranne Jones.

Welcome to Obamakare

These are the same people who are going to be running your .GOV health care bureaucracy.

"Our return was processed February 19 with a refund date of March 4. Well, March 4 came and went. Since then we have been waiting, every other week we have a different error code and the date of a possible direct deposit," she said. "On April 27 they told me they told me my return was done and 'out of error.' Last week they told me I should receive it May 20. Then (Wednesday) I looked and it's gone back into error again."

Lemons said the IRS has devoted a lot of extra labor toward solving the problem and began manually processing the returns after the problem was discovered in February. The number of victims has been whittled to "a few thousand taxpayers," he said.

Because unelected, uncaring and irresponsible drones care more than business people about making things work.

"I had a date, and a second date ... and now I'm back at 1201 (error). My advocate said that it's just sitting there. WTF IRS?" Jannae Leonard Powell wrote Thursday.

The Facebook page has become a support group for some, a place where taxpayers share tips on the best time to call , the best number to call and how to reach the most helpful phone agents. Littlejohn said many in the group have received frequent rude treatment, so they just hang up repeatedly until a "nice" agent answers.

"Some are very nice, but some are very nasty and basically say, 'I don't know what else to tell you. You are just going have to wait,'" she said.

AND we all know how fleet-footed and agile any behemoth is when it come to something... UNEXPECTED, like ummm...everything this administration sees.

All the taxpayers involved in the glitch took advantage of a one-time, misnamed First Time Homebuyer tax “credit” offered during the 2008 tax year, a program that turned out to be a meager effort by Congress to prop up the then-imploding housing market. Homebuyers who took advantage didn't actually receive a credit — they were granted what was essentially an interest-free loan of up to $7,500, to be paid back in $500 increments starting in 2010. Subsequent versions of the program granted homebuyers an outright tax credit, so the 2008 users already have something to moan about.

Lemons said IRS systems weren't set up to handle the many variables that ultimately came from the program, such as how to calculate repayment of the loans if buyers got divorced, or ended up in foreclosure. One particularly vexing and unexpected problem: Many taxpayers are paying more than the minimum $500 annual payment in an effort to pay off the loan early.

"That has complicated matters," he said. "These are well-intentioned homeowners, but our initial programming was that payments would be spread out equally over 15 years." Programmers of complex systems will understand this as a typical problem of "unexpected input."

Russians and kittens

I think they're Russians anyway.

First we have "Crash test kittens" over at Bad Example.

Then we find this themed kitten horror video.

What's next?
Bonsai kittens?

That should make him feel better anyway

That his Sekirit Service guys hate the conservative Fox News as much as he does. So now we know that those guys will willingly jump in front of a bullet for their Chicago Jeezus.

Which is good for his self worth.

But it brings up a question about how fast are those same Marxist ideologues
going to take to decide to take a bullet for a Republican president?

"He's got a gun!!"

"Krap, maybe agent R, the Beck-luvr will jump."

"Damn, he's starting to pull the trigger and none of those neocons are close enough to the anti-Christ..."

*maybe I can lose my balance...*

Way to poison the pond, Liberals..because you know- that's how you'd act.

As we now watch congress sputter impotently

Because the Democrats can't bring themselves to even TRY to enforce the War Powers Act against President White Guilt.

And the Republicans are afraid of being labeled as racist for insisting the smartest negro in the world be held accountable.
So we watch as the Community Organizer in Chief goes on and keeps making up rules as he goes along.

But, HEY!
President Gutsy Call did another end-zone dance over at Foggy Bottom to thank the people he's going to be prosecuting for the information they got him- so he could make that gutsy call.

By this time today

I'm sure president Gutsy call and Netenyahu will probably have had their meeting.

Does anyone know which door he used?

Swords in the news

A woman pulled a sword in a Louisville, KY Pizza Hut

According to an arrest report, police were called to the restaurant after they received reports that 29-year-old Wynika Mason was "causing trouble." When they got there, she allegedly began yelling at the officers.

An employee told the officers that, shortly before they arrived, Mason began yelling at him and told him that she had a sword on her person. The employee said that Mason, "began to raise it out of the sheath" when her brother seized it from her and put it in their vehicle outside.

Which gives us another excuse for Trip Fisk:

Science!

Am I an earth h8Tr because I'm sending CO2 into the atmosphere?
All I'm trying to do is get ready for the "End of Times" by going back to sustainable production like our newest hippie over,,,duudes would want by fermenting honey and apple juice...

I changed the recipe a little on this batch because of the citrusy/acidy taste of the last(first) mead (unaged) batch. I added 1/4 cup of molasses to each gallon instead of the orange. I used bread yeast again, so I could keep a constant (for you AGW scientists, that's how you're supposed to do things- test one change at a time) - this time I also tried hard cider, which is the one back right that is bubbling like a fish areator. the other ones are whole honey and 1/2 honey- 1/2 corn sugar. So we'll be scientific in our ongoing quest to stock up on EOTWAWKIT barter supplies.

But, while I was sterilizing things with sodium hypercloride, I thought about something about being ready for the zombieclypse that the CDC warned us about.

I know where to get water, no matter how dry it is here on the starting edge of the desert. I know of several ways to make that water potable, and one way involves the aforementioned bleach. Which got me to wondering for all my sciency readers out there.
If I wanted a surefire way of purifying water for a zombieclypse scenario- is there a shelf life for bleach?

-----UPDATE 05-20-11----
I checked the first batch, using the measurements from the second batch (because I didn't have a hygrometer when I made the first one)

According to the hygrometer, I have 15% alcohol from the straight mead (honey) and almost 8% from the half and half (honey/corn syrup). Now we wait. I hope it mellows because I'd hate to have to dump it because I just remembered that I brewed 5 gallons in an aluminum pot,,,which they say not to do....Might be why that mead tastes so nasty... or the lack of aging.,,

Oh,,,they want me to PAY for it?

Sorry Playboy, the only reason I looked at you anyway was for the pictures and the jokes.
I never looked at you for the articles because even when I was a lot younger, your Liberalism turned me off.
AND- I never paid for you in paper, so don't expect me to pay for electrons.

Don't worry grizzled White House veteran reporters

Those little lapdogs of 0bamas press conferences will change back to attack dogs and start back up with the hard hitting attack journalism as soon as their's a Republican president.

Several veteran and prize-winning journalists who covered presidents from John F. Kennedy to George W. Bush say that the current crop of White House correspondents are too timid and deferential and have played a role in killing the impact of presidential news conferences.

"If you watch an Obama news conference, and watched a Bush news conference previous to that, where correspondents sit in their seats with their hands folded on their laps, [it's] as if they are in the room with a monarch and they have to wait to be recognized by the president," says Sid Davis, the former NBC Washington bureau chief who covered nine presidents. "It looks like they are watching a funeral service at [Washington funeral firm] Joseph Gawler's and it shouldn't be that way."

Besides, if they ask a hard question, they'll be accused of racism, and that'll rake the coals of their white guilt all over again.

I thought Assad was a reformer?

And that (aside from the lack of oil) was the reason Prez Gutzy Call wasn't going to go in unilaterally and illegally like he did in Libya.
Now, we're going to put Beaker and six other Syrian higher-ups on double-sekrit probation.

Obama signed the order Wednesday, a move a senior administration official described as a "decisive step to increase pressure" on the Syrian government to end violence, intimidation and pressure "and begin transitioning to a democratic" process.

Condemning Syria's use of violence and intimidation against its people, the official said al-Assad "must put an end to the attacks on protesters, mass arrests and harassment" of citizens expressing rights and "must begin to introduce change."

Because everyone knows how well sanctions backed up by nothing always get the attention of ruthless dictators.

But, hey! Captain Kickass is ready to do something!

Her name

In case you're a racist queer-
Is Serena Williams
But wait! She plays tennis,,,so if you were gay- you'd know who she is anyway. But not that it's a bad thing, or anything like that *rolling my eyes*

I forgot something...Ahh- audio!
Yes you would, and you'd love the way she bends you to be where you need to be.

You know you would- like a fist of an angry god...

Thirty six more reasons not to buy another Mitsubishi

I got back from town yesterday and was going to scan the invoice I got from the Mitzu dealership for four quarts of 'Mitzu Diamond SP III' automatic transmission fluid so I can change the filter. I was going to, but one of the latest voltage spikes rendered the scanner inoperable -or it can't find the desktop.

The truck is seven years old and still needs proprietary transmission fluid.

On top of the $2500 I had to spend on a tune-up (and timing belt change- since the engine was half dismantled to get to the plugs) because Mitzu put the plugs and distributor inside the Vee and UNDER the air intake plenum.

And just the plain way we let ourselves get ripped off at Gillman Mitsubishi of San Marcos, Tx.

This is in addition to GM and Chrysler which will never have a title in my name again.

The Hyundai Santa Fe of Thing-1 is holding up well for its age and milage and it looks like it's worth considering.

Say it Bibi

When president 'Gutzy Call" demands that you to withdraw to the 1967 borders you have my whole-hearted endorsement to tell him to FUCK-OFF.

Remind him that you are the only country that's even lifted a finger to accommodate any kind of peace process and until he can get those terrorists in 'Palestine' to stop
trying to kill innocent people- he can talk to the hand.

Hi! How is everyone today?

Surviving? Good, that means the world didn't come crashing down around our ears when we got shoved against that debt ceiling yesterday.

And now little Timmy Geithner is actually going to have to do some hard work in trying to manage part of the problem that he and his boss are continuously shoveling up.

BUT wait! It's really not his problem- it will be the new Republican majorities fault for trying to take his credit card.

From the same guy who couldn't figure he needed to pay seven years worth of income taxes -when his company GAVE HIM THE MONEY to pay it, we get these gems:

"If Republicans try to impose that plan on this country as a condition for raising the debt limit, then they will own the responsibility for the first default in our history, with devastating consequences,"
Because the Republicans couldn't even get a bill to the House floor for two years.

"As I have said before, Congress must meet its responsibility to protect the nation's full faith and credit by increasing the debt limit,"
Said the tax cheat.

He said while the borrowing costs on the national debt have remained low, that could change quickly if financial markets begin to doubt America's ability to deal with its financial difficulties.
You call spending almost HALF of our financial obligations to INTREST PAYMENTS low????

"As we saw in the fall of 2008, when confidence turns, it can turn with brutal force and with a momentum that is very difficult and costly to arrest," Geithner said. "That is a threat we should pre-empt."

YES!!!!!!!
Lets spend even MORE money we don't have- brilliant!

Newt Gingrich, you are no Ronald Reagan

And the disconnect you have in mentioning his name and yours in the same sentence shows you don't get it.

“Every once and awhile there's going to be a problem, and you gotta spend three or four days fixing it,” he said. “If you go back and look at Ronald Reagan's record, the opening week of the campaign in Sept. 1980, they didn't have a very good week. And they had to go back and fix it. This happens occasionally. The trick is to relax, look at it, try to figure out what happened, and keep moving.”

Except that you're running on YOUR record, not Rons.
We remember your pissing on us and telling us we didn't have a clue when it came to your NYC Deedee Suzzofalia, and your cozying up to San Fran Nan about her Tax-N-Cap scam.

Gingrich said he should have been better prepared for the ““adversarial nature” of “Meet the Press.”

“I didn't go in there quite hostile enough, because it didn't occur to me going in that you'd have a series of setups,” Gingrich said. “This wasn't me randomly saying things. These were very deliberate efforts to pick fights.”

He said his comments on the show were “a lot more controversial than I intended them to be.”

Yeah, I'm not the lightning rod leader of the new Republican house of 1994. I've made nice with the MSM and even endorsed some of their candidates and job wrecking legislation.

Now they're being MEAN TO ME!

............................................................................
Newt, here's a clue- it's not just me who will NEVER vote for you.
If the Republicans are stupid enough to put you on the ballot; I promise that I'll vote for a third party.

Unicorn farts and flexable math

In two related articles, we have most of what I object to in this Holy Grail of Liberal ....ummm...energy independence.

The first one was complaining of the property tax up in Michigan that was wiping out their profits of almost 4 times the going rate for the electricity to power 20 houses. They get 42 cents per KWH and the going retail rate is 12 cents per KWH.
Then they went on to compare themselves with a nuke plant down the road and the taxes they pay per KWH. The nuke plant that pumps out "real" wattage that powers cities- is paying about .2 cents/KWH compared to their 12.3 cents/KWH.

Then I wondered what's the difference in acreage, because the land size wasn't mentioned.
So I went to the linked article, that had the usual Liberal demands for free ice cream.

... Field said. “I’m going to do everything I can to lobby the Legislature to tell them they need to make this simple — that renewable-energy equipment doesn’t get taxed.”

Part of what makes the assessment incorrect, Field said, is that the property should have been assessed based on what was on the property as of last Dec. 31. The solar equipment then was not in service so it should have been classified as inventory, which Field said isn’t taxable.

“From a logical point of view, there’s no point in having other incentives for renewable energy and not ... abate property taxes,” he said.

So, we're soaking the ratepayers- who have to pay tax, but we don't want to pay for what's getting us almost four times the going rate (plus 0bamas renewable energy taxpayer funded subsidies_.

In news that's not news

Some black guy who mouths foul (most likely) horrendous rhymes about biatches, drugs and killing cops with a bad boom-box enhancement was shot to death in his hood in LA the other day.

Why anyone is surprised at a rapper getting shot is beyond me.
But then again, I can't understand parents who think it's ok for- and allow their daughters to keep listening to that crap and hearing themselves constantly called biatches and ho's- either.

This should be interesting

Because it's one thing to kill someone who's country is so PC that they can't even tell the truth about islam (Germany, Netherlands, Britain, U.S. Sweden...) even if he is an Ambassador and just walk away listening to their "Strong Condemnations" and "Disheartening turn of events" ringing in your ears.

It's a completely other situation when you kill one of your own 7th century coreligionist who also believes in an eye-for-an-eye literally, and isn't afraid of the "TSK"ing of their fellow wussies in diplomatic circles. Because Saudi Arabia doesn't really give a chit what you think when they go after the Taliban who killed one of their own.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel

in the revolving door that is the Chicago Machine; insider Rahm Emanuel is going to be sworn in as its Mayor today. (As opposed to the future where he will just be sworn in to be deposed...)

This is a break in the nepotism of the Daley machine that has been part of the stench of corruption that has been Chi-town since at least the civil war.

His predecessor, Richard Daley (the latest) left Rahm a little mess in the $700 Million of unfunded debt. So this gives us this weeks poll question:

How will mayor Rahm take care of Chicago's debt problem?

Layers and layers of fact checking

and editorial oversite, right AP?

The goto news gathering organization that the MSM relies on to get their facts right...

That would almost make it worth buying a hybred

in that you can use it as an emergency back-up generator if you know how to hook up an inverter.
Or you could go get a Honda genset for about $350 and not worry about insurance, inspections, replacing high dollar batteries, or tires- not to mention the $350 high amp inverter.

I have Fox News on in the background

Right now there is some arrogant black guy with a fly-sized mole next to his nose lying about oil production.
He's lying about last year being the most productive in history and then he was (before I muted the TeeWee)lying about how he's going to increase oil production production this year.

Kinda like he was going to last year- before he shut down all new oil in the gulf.

I wonder if he's in a union

Because even though he was working for a municipal gov't- I can't see him getting paid $80K/year for not working because he pissed off his boss.
Than got fired, and then rehired through arbitration, but was told to stay home for seven years.
AND collecting raises, vacation and retirement points.

But, Hey- he's eligible for retirement next year- yay!

I think I remember seeing this about six months ago... with the same pic of him before he probably gained a buttload of poundage.

In other unreported news

Our unprecedented president set a record for the unbroken string of weekend golf outings for a sitting president.

Which would be eight in the two months that global warming enabled him to hit a snow free Andrews AFB course.

You call that chili?

Serves 6-8

1 large onion

1 green bell pepper

Several cloves of garlic

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound ground turkey or beef

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon ground oregano

1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/4 teaspoon ground basil

1 tablespoon chili powder

3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

Several fresh tomatoes, depending on size (or

1 15-ounce can of diced tomatoes with juice)

1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans

Dude- seriously- and I'm not even talking about the beans.

If you didn't know who's recipe this supposedly was...wouldn't you call that not much more than soup?

Seriously a QUARTER TEASPOON of spices? Our cats would turn their noses up at it because it was so bland. And what about those dairy products that you want to put on afterwards- doesn't MEchelle have something to say about that?

Wha's next from Pez. Everyman, a soup sandwich? -Oh, wait, that got made in 2010 in both Democrat controlled halves of Congress.

But then again, you are from chicagoland...so maybe they think it's real chili. I'm surprised there are no noodles in it...

On the Islamic on Christian beatdowns

Obama finally has something to say to the "Forces of democracy" in Egypt that he helped to force Mubarak out who are starting an Islamist pogrom against Christians.

From his heart- as a "Christian by choice"...

But, HEY! We're looking at democracy taking over Egypt- Yay! In the form of the Muslim Brotherhood...Yay- a family business :-S (?)

Telling it like it is

NSFW Park Service employee tells some a-hole young boarders how life works.

Supplying your own rope

So, Mitt Romneycare just can't wrap his ego around the fact that all Americans don't want the grandfather of Obamakare to be anywhere near the White House in 2012.
But, that's ok- we're just igr'nt backwards rednecks who don't have the sophistication to understand that our betters know how we need to be taken care of better than we do.

He's trying to make a cow patty into a serving plate for the 2012 election, and the White House is doing all it can to help.

Hey Mitt, here's a good campaign pic for your website.

Am I the only one who remembers

That when the Democrats started pulling money out of SocSec back in the `70's, that HEY- it's ok- because they put in IOU's!

I remember hearing that when I was in H.S. and thought it strange that I was the only one who picked up on the fact that the ONLY money going in was paid for by the same people who were going to have to repay that IOU.
I guess I has already rejected the cool-aide without knowing.

Now that magical pot of free money is empty and we have both parties to blame- including a willing and complicit mews media who savaged any Republican who tried to do anything to slow down it's bankruptcy.
Now it's knocking on the door just in time to hit Republicans in the face when they take over the Senate in 2012.

Neither here nor there

I was over at IOTW when I saw this girl in their sidebar:

And I thought WOW- she's hot!

Then, I thought...I bet she's REALLY high maintenance.

You remember that spiking the football thing?

About why we're not going to see the kill shot of OBL, and rubbing it in their faces?
So as we don't want to give them any more excuses to hate us...or something.

Unless we need to keep dancing in the blood at our political rallies to prove our creds...

Yeah, about that...

How about a penalty for excessive celebrating?
