Some things to remember tonite

Some things this clip forgot to tell you:
Removed because frigging DISH NETWORK Keeps telling me I'm using too much bndwidth!
Do NOT sign up for DISH NETWORK broadband- get wild blue instead.

When being chased by "Teh Ebil" ...NEVER jump into a pickup truck to escape.
It *won't* start...even if you just drove it off the showroom floor.

The nekkid girls are always killed first.

Hot blondes are right up there too.

And now that we've got those tips out of the way...

You better have some good candy for this kid:

And a happy end to the week-end

I hope I won't shock anyone with this NSFW pumpkin

It's not like it's a completely full page nekkid pumpkin, or anything like that.

It's just that some people just can't see the humor in anthrophomorphic pumpkin behaviour.

Clickum for pumpkin pr()n.

IF you really want to...

He IS a *happy* pumpkin flasher.

That certainly was eye catching...

I dropped off Thing-1 at work in Castroville and headed out to Hondo for the weekly grorcery shopping.
On the way I passed an oversize load and his escort on the opposit side of the HWY. I saw the amber and White flashing lights far enough ahead, but what caught my eye was the escorts color scheme- or rather lack of color. It would have caught any drivers eye even if they didn't have their lights on.

Funny how a black and white F-150 and his buddy the black and white Crown Vic will do that.

Git OFF my lawn!

The more I use VISTA the less I like it

Aside from having the Liberal nannyism EVERY TIME I try to open, close or download frigging anything---ask "Do you really want to do that"....Dave?

Yes HAL, I *really* want to download the updates the Microsquish is offering me!

NOW, all you IT and AIT, and computer geeks techsperts tell me why:
  • I just started getting an error message that saysTHIS PROGRAM CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE.....when I never went to a site that I couldn't get to
  • HOW do I get rid of it without comletely shutting the computer down...only to have it majically reappear! It won't even tell me WHERE it tried to go.
  • WHY it refuses to restore to Thursday (when I first noticed it)
  • Does anyone want to buy an almost brand new HP Compaq for $350 (used about two weeks) or trade for a Mac?
I finally forund the sekrit to getting the hard-drive out of the old HP, so I can go back to XP and A LOT LESS nannyism and the way Bill Gates decided that I was too idiotic to use some of the basic functions that are INACESSABLE IN VISTA....because we don't really NEED to know any more than *they* want us to.

They won't even let me uninstall IE7 and reinstall IE6.

UPDATE --
Am I remebering things wrong, or did Win XP go from ,,,like $90 for the home edition to almost $200 when that abortion VISTA came out? I *know* they want more for XP now than they did before everyone got served with it wether they wanted it-or not.

It's not news, it's CNN

Yeah, I stole that from Fark.

Because Halloween is near and I'm all about helping, here's a piece on what to do if your house is haunted.

Which gives me a good lead in to these two vids on the Haunted Lesbian sorority.

And the girls find a Ouiji board:

UPDATE - 11PM
Karen walked away in disgust...You decide what that means.
But I'm a guy, so I think differently.

the Anti-Dixi Chicks?

Except they're not girls.

But after reading about Big and Rich, I'll even think of buying some of their CDs.

You *know* them...

But that's not all they are, try this tribute to our guys in 'Nam:

.....And I learned from this vid, that *all* rap isn't intolerable.

Thanks to Cowboy Troy.
(Who I think was the Drum Major on their first video)

UPDATE-
Not worth another post, but here's some girls and machinegun pr()n.

I have to admit that I'm surprised

Not that these bridge survivors are trying to gin up sympathy (and lots of money) for themselves.
I'm more surprised that that 9-11 payout hasn't been used as a precident more often.

Like anytime more than two people die at the same time, or that they died and the MSM covered it incessantly.

Sure it was bad, not as bad as 9-11 and I'm sure there are lots of people to sue in the bridge failure. It's not like their insurance became null and void as soon as some islamic nutjobs took control of three jets.

I was against the 9-11 payout because I saw it being used as a precident for all kinds of 'free' money to make the survivors feel better.
I was also against it for just the sake of basic fairness to everyone else who died or was sevierly injured on 9-11 that didn't get jack because they weren't in a certain location.

Ok next pumpkin

Anyone who reads SCI-FI knows about the "Bug-eyed-Monster".

It's sometimes shortened to B.E.M.
Now we have the B.E.P.

For some reason, I think he got into the photon juice befor the picture was taken....

I just want to let my Sen. Kay bailey-Hutchinson know that I am pissed off

She decided to vote FOR the latest Amnesty bill floating it's way throught the government system.

I already let her know that I'll no longer be willing to pay her salery. No matter where she decides to try for next. Yeah Kay, we don't want an amnesty supporter for Governer either!

Any of my Texas readers can let her know how you feel by sending her an e-mail.

And in all those bot-letters I got back from her telling me she'd *never* vote to reward lawbreaking. I wonder who offered her what for that vote?

Sometimes you're the windshield

Other times you're the bug.

It seems like this entire week I've been the bug........on the Interstate.
I re-tore that (ligament? Tendon?) problem the MRI couldn't find on my shoulder, and everything they gave me so far has taken longer and been more FUBARed than it should have been for the job.
I was thinking of working Sat. but I'll blow it off this week.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Now guys, I know you'll probably have some Halloween week-end parties to go to, so out of the goodness of my heart I'll give you a quick costume idea.

....AND you can show how much you care about womens issues (yeah, ok, but play along)

With this costume you can also advancwe their preventive health by reminding them about screenings.

Or you could just be your perverted self...

I'd like some Chianti and Fava beans, please

And that's it's real color, some kind of resseive gene in Atlantic Giant pumpkins.

It's U.N. Day today kiddies

Sorry, I just noticed it on the calander.
I didn't notice if Yahoo or Google had any special GIFs to commemorate it.
What would it be?
People with bloated bellies falling over with flies buzzing aropund?
People kneeling in front of mass gaves whil the big, shiny UN SUVs are at the motel?

Better yet, to reinforce how we could spend money better.....

You notice how it matches the UN helmets so well?

I looked for that color.

How about this take on the Cali fires

I've read enough comparisons between this FIRE (which didn't give a weeks notice) and N'awlins (where the leadership was partying in Baton Rouge instead of evacuating)- and the color difference.
And the fact that they're 'rich'.

Both disasters were either brought on or made worse by Democrat/Liberal/Greenie politics.

The big difference is that those rich people who lost their property know LAWYERS.

Home today

I've felt like chit for the last two days, and now I'll either go in late or not at all.

Everyone else is gone, so I can have some 'me' time and see about doing things around the house.
Finding out what's wrong with the heater would be a good start. Hopefully it's just a bad thermostat.

Too bad I'll either have to eat today's pay or make it up on Sat.

UPDATE, STICKY POST-

I guess I'll just add to this one as I find things to babble about.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm really surprised at how low the hit count was for this search.
I thought that there would be that many just in the D.U. alone. (warning for those who've never been there, be sure to have something ready to scrub out your hard drive when you leave)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ohhh, look who'se back in the states!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10:20AM

Gawd, what an expensive day. $120 to the Vet for doggie related anti-flea armaments and $25 to the hardware store for a thermostat and weatherstripping.

I got the heat working and as a bonus, our smoke alarm is pretty sensetive.
We'd always had trouble with our programmable thermostat (on the heat side) and just as I was ready to pull it off the wall, I noticed some of the contacts the face pins were supposed to hit were low. So we now have a spare thermostat, and a blower that works at 100% (because I fixed a loose connection) and you can tell the difference, too.

I'll be stay home today and be around $250 short (because of payloss and buying cr@p)
because it wouldn't be worth the hour drive to try making it up.

I reaaly have to admit that when I saw this headline...

Katrina missteps still haunting Bush

That my first thought was: "It didn't do much good for Blanco, either."

And naturally, the AP writer Jennifer Loven makes sure you know what to think while reading her hit piece article about Federal emergency response.

he White House reacted with what has become a familiar pattern: Bush dropped a few lines of sympathy and promised assistance into an already scheduled speech. Across the administration, aides volunteered as many facts and figures as possible about the federal contribution to the disaster response, a federal emergency to speed relief funding was declared in the middle of the night, and a presidential visit to the affected area was quickly arranged.

The White House's handling of Katrina in the days before it hit the U.S. Gulf Coast in late August 2005 seemed set to follow this model. Bush and his aides issued repeated warnings to worried locals, conferred with officials in the region and promised Washington would do all it could to help.

But once the massive storm blew ashore, smashing Mississippi's coastal communities to sticks and submerging New Orleans in water, the federal response turned dismal.

Locals were left wanting for urgently needed supplies. Bush seemed disengaged from the crisis and then stumbled through initial appearances in the disaster zone aimed at correcting the impression. And some locals feel the White House's level of engagement in the Gulf Coast's continuing misery hasn't improved much in two years.

Katrina was a departure from Bush's handling of previous disasters.

No lady, FEMA handled Katrina like all the other previous disasters. There problem was that they relied on corrupt political hacks to do what competent leaders did in all the other states.

Ok, it's not a pumpkin

But I bet it would look pretty good on your front sidewalk next Wednesday.

UPDATE-- (NSFW pics)
In related ...ummmm...'big' news....
No wonder Ashton Kutcher is hanging with someone 20 years his senior.

man, lookat those num-nums.

A farmer named Clyde

A farmer named Clyde had a car accident. In court, the trucking
company's fancy lawyer was questioning Clyde. Didn't you say, at the
scene of the accident, 'I'm fine,' asked the lawyer? Clyde responded,
"Well, I'll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favorite mule,
Bessie, into the..." "I didn't ask for any details," the lawyer
interrupted. "Just answer the question. Did you not say, at the scene of
the accident, 'I'm fine!"? Clyde said, "Well, I had just got Bessie into
the trailer and I was driving down the road...." The lawyer interrupted
again and said, "Judge, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the
scene of the accident, this man told the Highway Patrolman on the scene
that he was just fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is trying
to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply
answer the question, yes or no.

" By this time, the Judge was fairly
interested in Clyde's answer and said to the lawyer, "I'd like to hear
what he has to say about his favorite mule, Bessie." Clyde thanked the
Judge and proceeded, "Well like I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie,
my favorite mule, into the trailer and was driving her down the highway
when this huge semi-truck and trailer ran the stop sign and smacked my
truck right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was
thrown into the other." "I was hurting, real bad and didn't want to
move. However, I could hear ole Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she
was in terrible shape just by her moans." "Shortly after the accident a
Highway Patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and
groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her, he took out his
gun and shot her between the eyes. Then the Patrolman came across the
road, gun in hand, looked at me, and said "How are you feeling?" "Now
what the hell would you say?"

And all along, I thought they were Brits...

But they come from the OZ.

Your daily Halloween lead-up

I don't *need* to say anything more, do I?
Oh....that reminds me- Saxet Gun show this week-end at the Colosseum (on E. Houston).

I work by myself

I don't mind, but it gives time to think when I'm not driving.

I was out cutting a 300' trench for some cable and started thinking about the 'Fiddler on the roof' vid I put up yesterday, and how my favorite New Yawk Jooo liked it.

Well my mind kinda wanderd onto Jody calls, and then I wondered about the IDF.

Do they call their cadences Jooody calls?

Surprisingly enough

This didn't happen in Bhaahaastin.

FLORENCE -- When she dropped the package off yesterday morning at Florence Township High School, the woman explained to school officials that her son needed the white pellets it contained for his science project.

All was fine until she mentioned that her son had urged her to be careful because the pellets could explode if dropped. Police said that prompted school officials to immediately lock down the school and call out township police, area hazardous materials teams, and the state police's bomb squad.

While the pellets were eventually determined to be harmless, the woman's son -- a 16-year-old whose name authorities are withholding because he is a juvenile -- was arrested and charged with causing false public alarm, disorderly conduct, and causing or risking widespread injury or damage, police said.

Gawd, nobody can take a joke anymore.

Know what this is?

It's my DRIVING WHEEL.
Go ahead, you know you want to.
Click it,,,and be sure your speakers are up.

or would you want to take a slow ride on this?

Yeah, I got my speakers working, why do you ask?

You start an omlett and the oil isn't hot enough, and the eggs soak up the oil?

Ham and cheese.
Lots of ham.

My weekly egg quota.

So, can anyone tell me WHY anyone is wasting any thing worthwhile in Somalia?

Now, the Government is attacking UN food distribution efforts.
Because the wrong people are getting fed.

I know I shouldn't judge all people by the actions of everyone I hear about the vast majority a few bad apples, but nothing I hear has anything positive in it.
We went in to try to make sure food got to where it was supposed to go...the poor and the children. We were attacked incessantly untill Clinton pulled us out.
Their Islamic refugees are trying to enforce their cult on everyone they can here in America with theier cabbies refusing rides and their checkout clerks refusing service.

I bet you can't come up with ONE thing any Somali has done to enhance anything in a positive way. I wouldn't mind kicking every one I meet right in the nards...except I'd get thrown in jail for it.

So, we've got a mini-blogmeet in Lockhart

Kreuz meatmarket, to be exact.
I was going to go with the usual blogmeet type puking pumpkin for todays extreme pumpkin, BUT this is seriosly good eats.

So the puking pumpkin will have to wait while you marvell at the newest extreme pumpkin....
the radioactive pumpkin.

Ladies, this is why you need to pack heat

"We made this man clean up all the mess he made, piles of stuff, he had thrown out of my drawers and cabinets onto the floor," Tiffany McKinnon said.

When police arrived, Bullock complained about being forced to clean the home at gunpoint.

"This man had the nerve to raise sand about us making him clean up the mess he made in my house," she said. "The police officer laughed at him when he complained and said anybody else would have shot him dead."

Nuff said, go put one in your purse now!

You've seen their faces

Now see the backside of a pumpkin.

What an interesting life

I'm glad I never (yet) had @sshole managers like this guy.
And all because of some juvenile delinquent drinking malt vinigar while he should have been in school.

It's a long read, but entertaining.

(better than listening to the Bionic slut girl,,,which is on TV now)

The Bionic girl woman,,,whatever HAS to be aimed at women. The dialogue is taken right off the soaps cheatcheet, and the 'action scenes are right out of,,,,ummmm,,,,whoever does the fight scenes in stiletto heels without falling flat on her butt.

Even pumpkins eat their own

Look dude, you're already late

Because of all the OTHER wrecks all over town this morning.
So slow. the. f*ck. down.
All that fast and reckless driving your doing is going to cause another one and you'll be EVEN LATER than you wold have been by driving like a sane person.

We had a little rain this morning and every main road into the city had at least one wreck. 410 NW (my road) was blocked by a broke down Suburban in the left lane, so I got off early and went the other way. That four lane road was blocked by an F-150 who tried
to outrun a red light and another truck that tried the same thing from the opposite side.

After getting my paperwork from the office, I passed another car wreck on the 281 entrance ramp,,,another F-150 with a twisted front end started that one.
Going passed the airport cargo road was another F-150 that shoved a Caddy's trunk into the back seat - this on a road whose speed limit is 40MPH.

Traffic was still messed up when I got done with work.

So here's another driving lesson from Kurt (who doesn't like to dawdle while driving):
Your late, everyone is late and the boss knows it. Go with the flow and try not to cause anymore delays by getting into another wreck. You'll be even later by having to exchange information, or ending up in the hospital.
Not to mention all the other drivers you'll be p*ssing off by making them wait to drag your vehicle off the road.

I noticed something in this article

About Ellen Degeneres and her kerfluffle with a humane society.

No matter what *we* did wrong, us Libs will involk [cue angles siighing] the children[/angles], and take a swipe at 'power'.

See, the dog she got didn't get along with all of her cats, so she gave it to her hairdresser. The contract she signed said it was to go back if anything didn't work out. Now the rescue society took the dog back and unfortunatly, the hairdressers girls are the victims.
I'm sure there's a good reason that the society has those rules (one probably involes adoption fees), but as the good Lib she is Ellen knows best.

THIS is really a pumpkin

It's just an extreme pumkin.

So,,,,,700 people were murdered in LA county this year

So far.
That would equal like,,,What- 3500 since we invaded Iraq? At the 700/year count, actually it's more like 5,000 per year at the annual murder rate.
That's just in Los Angeles COUNTY- not the state of Califonica.

So, when are the Libs in congress going to make a plan for us to cut and run?

I know it won't happen, because Bush didn't have anything to do with it-AND it's pretty much a result of almost 50+ years of Liberal lifestyles.

I guess we need to shovel even more money into social engineering and the schip program....HEY, did you hear what Nan said about that money? Something like 'All the poor childern going without healthcare while all that money is going into Iraq..."

Well Nan, can I call you that Speaker Pelosi?
Anyway, "all that money going into Iraq (or was it wasted in Iraq)" will stop one day,,,YOUR gov't healthcare will. never. stop. As a matter of fact all it will do is grow.

Extreme pumpkins

There are some things that just aren't right

No matter how you look at them, or describe them.

I know that 7mm is just a measurment. Actually it's an abstract name for a certain size based on the location of the one designating the size. This same size could, and probably would have another name in another place.

That being said, there are some things that just don't fit. One of them being a Browning lever action in 7mm caliber. Just like pizza and milk...doesn't work, never will.

Funny, I didn't see anything about driving a Prius

What's your @sshole footprint?

I recognize A LOT of people in that article, me not so much.
It's not that I'm not an @sshole, just that they didn't have any questions that fit me.

It was pretty good all the way up to the @sshole offsets, there they examples of self-congratulatory @ssholism.

Saturday, October 13, 2007

I see that my girl said something again

And as usual, the Libs are up in arms about it.

--So cue the Anne Coulter theme song---

And read what it's about this time.

Yeah, Anne had the chuspah to mention Christianity in a positive way. She also said something about Christians being perfected Jews....dunno about that, but I do know and recognize that Christianity is an outgrouth of Judeaism.

I think the 'laws' Anne was talking about were Jewish religious laws that Christ died to relieve ud Christians of.

But anyway we can look at it as yet another example of the usual Liberal hypocracy. Acting offended because a Conservative mentioned what they've been yelling incessantly.

Anne Coulter dissing Jews= hatespeach ..............the MSM and it's Hollywood spokesflacks praising islamic terrorists= normal everyday conversation (actually it shows their compassion to the downtrodden).

Rush Limaugh mentions Phoney soldiers= disloyal hatespeach that needs to be stopped immediatly...........Hillaries "Willing suspension of disbelief" aimed at Gen Petreaus AND the ex-Marine (who happens to be a Senator also) and his accusal of the Haditha Marines being cold blooded killers....................Protected speach, PLUS it's official government policy BECAUSE it was said and recorded in chambers.

Yeah, ratburt- when your side starts cleaning up your side, I'll worry about mine.

Do you have eye control?

As in can you see the difference in two pictures if you cross your eyes?
This site is a variation of the 'spot the difference' game.
It's made to be viewed with crossed eyes.
It does kind of get easier as you learn what to look for...but it's cool anyway.

Of course you could always do it the old fasiond way.
If you want to start over, you may want to delete that cookie to get the original version when you refresh.

Updates on the new computer

Ok, after spending almost $400 (with tax) we have a bright and shiny new Compaq Vista.

First impressions, It's not as bad as I thought...just have to get used to things.

The very same speakers that worked on the old Compaq don't work for chit on this one.
I can hardly hear anything even with the volume up on every control I have.

Anyone with any ideas, let me know...also you geeks computer geniuses, I know you have some links to VISTA hacks,,,I'd appreciate it if you'd be able to put me on the trail to fixing this.

Slow posting ahead

It looks like the hard drive in the main computer went south yesterday.
I'm on the laptop- which I can't type on, and don't really like- so my linited posting will be even more soradic.
Karen tried everything she could, including all the restore CDs we have in the house.

We have a choice of
  1. A new tower--the bad is $365 and up, Plus we'd be getting VISTA, and then needing new peripherials to work with it.....NOPE!
  2. What I threatened to do when I heard about VISTA...but I *really* don't want to fork out on the plus side of $800 for a Mac system.
  3. Which leaves us with a new hard drive and an XP installation.
What I'd like to know from those who help us pebkc's is
Are there any brands that are better, or that we should stay away from?
In case it matters the main one is an H/P Pavillion 514n.

I heard something on the radio today

But it slipped my mind until I saw this poll site on Tx Freds blog.

They didn't say who did the poll, or where it was taken, but I'd bet it was somewhere in Mexifonia.

According to this unknown poll, 75%of all respondents weren't offended or affronted by people speaking only spanish around them.

Like I said, I don't know where they pulled the poll numbers from, but I'd bet they didn't talk to a lot of people who's skin color was allot lighter, or allot darker than out favorite lawbreakers.

The laws of unintended consequence

It's something those in power (and mostly the Left side) try not to acknowledge as fact.

Simple things like
  • "We need more revenue, lets tax the 'excess traffic' on Massachusetts Ave"
Ok, sounds good...but why are all the cars driving down Ohio Ave now?
  • "we need more tax money, lets boost the cigarette tax!
OK, those evil smokers deserve it!...Ummm, it looks like they're not buying as many smokes.
  • HEY! Lets show *W* whose boss and declare Houston a sanctuary city!
Ok, then we won't have to ask anyone if they're here illegally! What could happen?

Well guys, there's a guy who helped gang rape and torture two little girls to death who's probably not only going to get off, but walk away with millions for false arrest because didn't do what you were supposed to do (call the Mexican Embassy) while he was going through the legal system.

So because these sanctuary cities refuse to let law enforcement do what it's supposed to, not only is this piece of filth going to get off, 50 others will also walk.
If that's not enough, the Supreme court will have to decide if an international court (in Europe) will be able to decide which laws states will be allowed to enforce.

Brussels thinks an 85MPH speed limit is unsafe in Wyoming- BAM!- a much more reasonable (and safe) speed of 50 will be the new law.

Concealed carry? Brussels says NO! It's too dangerous.

AND, of course we'll need to build a huge new bureaucracy to decide on which AMERICAN laws we need to look at,,,and since we'll have to finance it-and it's an international thing- naturally we'll need to impose some kind of international tax on something.

OK, so I'm getting into the Ron Paul zone here a little, but do you think they'll stop at letting a murdering rapist free?

To all of you out there who enjoys civilization---HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

To those of you who would rather live an "unspoiled and natural life"- get off the computer, turn off your electricity, throw out your canned and refrigerated food. Then, wherever you are strip down to your skivvies (girls, too there were no bras back in the good 'ol days), wrap an old wool blanket around your shoulders and WALK to the nearest park to find lunch.

I don't know how you people think that the life we live today is worse than the lives of day-to-day existence of the North American Indians, or the brutal slavery and cruel human sacrifice practiced by the Incas and Aztecs.

Sure, the Europeans ruled with a heavy hand, life was like that back then- everybody expected it. The only *sigh (with butterflies and birds chirping)* natural paradise /*sigh (with butterflies and birds chirping)* that existed was in books.
The only reason the Indian didn't completely trash the wilderness was that it was too big for their limited numbers to decimate. I'm sure your PC history books took care to remove any and all references to the way entire prairies were set afire to kill a handful of buffalo. The caring way that old people were abandoned in the winter to starve to death. The medicine man whose treatments consisted of calling to the spirits (not much more advanced than 15th century medicine, but it changed), and old was a little past 35- ancient was in their 50's.

Go ahead, protest about how badly you have it, just don't do it if you've had LAZIC, heart operations, bones reset, joints replaced, been vaccinated are over 18 and not crippled. Walk or take your horse to the protest grounds hauling your water in the stomach of some ruminant that you killed.

To everyone who enjoys living in America, speaking one language, and living past 50 without worrying where you'll sleep tonight or where your next meal is coming from---
HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY!

I don't know the shop

But I do know the area it's located. It's NOT a low class, low quality area.

So why do they put the advert on craigslist as:
Necesito ayudante mecanico/mecanic helper needed
Yeah, I had a once reputable shop in Castroville try to sell me a complete engine rebuild because the parts changer (who only spoke Mexican) checked my oil level instead of trying to figure out how to run the diagnostic machine like I payed for. This was MORENOS AUTO REPAIR in Castroville, Tx.

I went in there for the B-4000 that was using a quart of oil a week- to find which sensor was bad and to have it bypassed (so the computer would mellow out). The Mech and the counter guy pretty much told me that if I didn't have the engine rebuilt or replaced (they just happened to have one in stock) that my truck would catch on fire, seize the rear end up and cause a fiery wreck into a Catholic preschool.
I told them 'thank you for your concern, but I only came in to see if you could bypass a sensor."
I ended up paying $40 for a non-English speaking parts changer to look at a dipstick.

I won't be wasting my time going to a shop that I *know* pays so bad that they need to advertise in ,,,another language.

Guess where we're going today!

I'm so exited!

This is Karens first one, I hope it's not too crowded.

Maybe I'll take pictures.

UPDATE-2:30PM
What a waste of an hour drive. There were about 15 or so vendors, most of who (whome?) were selling 'well used' and common guns for the price of new. Sorry, I'm not spending $550 on a pitted-up .38 police special or $800 on a .32 Marlin lever action. They had a Schmeisser broomhandle there for only $2500.

Karen did see her first Javelina on the asement on the way to Pleasantville, which was the highlight of the ride. She decided she could shoot a pig, but would still have problems with a deer. Cool, pigs are free here and nice lean meat. "Hunny, we're getting low on ham, wanna go shoot us one?"

I don't know how fast some drive, but it would probably take me over an hour to get from pleasanton to Port Lavaca if someone wanted us to drop-in.

The reality of the illusion

I have the TV on for background noise.
It's Reality TV and they have the 'mystery magician' on... you know showing how those magic tricks are really done.

They say he has to be completely camoflaged or the the other magicians would put out a hit on him... or something. Ok, I guess, sure, whatever you say.

But why aren't his assistant babes discuised, too? Wouldn't the magicians know who they are and who they work for? Just curious.

Are you part of the tribe yet?

I see that Boyd is, with two of his leetle friends.

Some Liberal columnist wrote a wonderfully enlightend piece (as you can imagine) about "The people of the gun". Jeff at alphecca has a picture site up for the tribe.
To become a member of the tribe, simply e-mail him a picture of yourself (medium size since he's on dial-up) with your name and blog, if you have one.

And, no I haven't got one up there yet. The camera's batteries are dead, and pictures just don't seem to work for me (neither do mirrors), but I'll let you know when I put one up.
In the meantime you can see my hands in this old school You-tube video, or this...
pre-school vid.

OK, gotta go,,,Torchwood is on--and the 21st century is when it all changes

FLASH...

aAAAA HHHHhhhhaaaa!!!!

Does anyone watch it?
I watched it in the 80's at the E.M. club because it was the only thing on. (Yes kiddies,,,way back in the dark ages of the '80s they were only just getting basic cable on base.)

It was campy and corny, and they had fun. I din't really like it then, and I haven't had the most modern version on the tv after the final aHHhhh yet. Don't plan on having it either. Some things were just made to be .....unmodernized.

Dick Tracy was the same way...

(Stargate) Atlantis has the benefit of hot main leads,,,and a watchable plot.

Two important things happened on this same day

Fifty years ago.
I'm not sure which is more important, what the Russians did or what the Beaver did.

Sure Sputnik spurred us on to the stars (and a soundstage in Hollywood....some say)

But the Beave grew up with us.

Now, isn't that better than this?

Can you believe this?

It looks like the AP isn't content to run photoshopped pics from the Mid-eas;t they have to photoshop O.J.'s head onto another body.
Really, Juice's head isn't even big enough to cover the the real perps noggin (look at the back skull) in addition to the visor shadow not belonging where it is.

A comment on Xerox

Go here, and drop her a note in her comments.

The government is in charge of your kid's education right now

World War II took place in 19-something, when Theodore Roosevelt was president and the Germans claimed to be the best race.

Hoping to aid Third World countries, the United States joined the war to stop racism and end the dispute over Jews.

The head of the Nazis was a killer named Hitler whose evil partner, Mussolini, was president of the USSR. Ultimately, the war ended with the bombing of Iwo Jima and Hitler's suicide. Then a treaty was signed. Not every 11th-grader who answered a Chronicle questionnaire at San Francisco's Burton High School responded with such a fractured version of history. Eight of the 34 students said correctly that "Roosevelt" or "FDR" was president during most of the war, apparently remembering the subject they had studied as sophomores last spring. Most knew about the attempted genocide of the Jews, all but three recognized Hitler, and eight placed the war in the 1940s.

Are you sure you want to let them be in charge of your healthcare, too?

At least the notes don't say "Bad wolf"

But then again, maybe in *this* reality it's different....
